Okay so I was getting pumped for DA:O and then something caught my eye, the people making the achievements HATE YOU! Okay so I know Bioware put a lot of work into the origins stories but assuming there are less than 6 endings you have to play through the game a minimum of 6 times. That had better be a hell of a fun game. To see more of these insane achievements use the link.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/dragon-age-origins/achievements/

Also I know you might say that it doesn't require you to get the achievements, but still there are a hell of a lot of achievement whores out there. Hell the only reason I am considering getting the game on a console is because I want the achievements (Also I don't know if my computer will be able to handle it.)

So yeah I just thought I would make this knowledge available to all you fine folks and if you want feel free to give me your feedback.

Those are gonna be some damn difficult achievements to get. But i'm gonna get the PC version, so, these do not affect me, really.

Yeah, that's going to take a while to get. Fortunately, if I'll get Dragon Age: Origins, I'll get for PC.

"Sided with the werewolves in Nature of the Beast"

Interesting.

I'll be getting DA:O on PS3. That platinum trophy is not going to be fun. Still I played through KotOR an uncountable number of times and still loved it, maybe this will be just as good.

That achievement list is heaven to me, it gives me more reasons to replay it over and over again, you think this is a bad thing, this is a dream come true, I do love a challenge

My sentiments exactly. This is a game that rewards you for exploring its choices and options. If something doesn't interest you, don't pursue this. But I prefer these achievements to "Kill X amount of creatures" style achievements, or the random ones in Fable for playing with your dog. Seriously, why I am I being rewarded for kicking a chicken?

I could care less about the acheivments list but ill likley be going through it a good couple of times, then I'll go through it another hundred few times assuming the devkit is anywhere near as good as neverwinter Nights can only dream of making modules on such an awsome game/graphics engine.

Well, Mass Effect required at least three playthroughs to get all the achievements. I still only have about 2/3 of them, because I need to play the tech classes more.

Also, they make it sound like each storyline will be unique: something I can only hope for. Having read the origin story descriptions, the game has serious potential if they go that route.

Steam might have the achievements, nothing on the page saying they do yet though.
When were these made public?

They do seem quite difficult, but it makes you play the game a different way. Which is very good for a RPG as I tend to always be the thief/evil character who just goes for personal profit from each quest.

Yep, I was planning on playing through it all 6 times anyhow, so hopefully those 6 times will get me all achievements... if they don't, I don't care....

I couldn't be bothered to go through Fallout 3 a third time to get all of the Neutral Karma achievements.

Though I'm kind of sad they didn't put storyline related achievements in as secret achievements.... like the "side with so and so".... really that gives away too much of the plot in the achievement.... at least in Borderlands most of the character or plot driven achievements are secret.
