Duke Nukem Forever $25 on Steam. Should I get it?

Read topic title. Part of me wants it for laughs, part of me wants it because I'm a Duke Nukem fanboy, and part of me wants it because it's Duke Nukem Forever, the game nobody thought would ever come out.

Tell me, Escapist, is it worth it?!

There's better fun that can be had with $25. Especially given you could get Terraria, Sam and Max, Hitman and Prince of Persia for the same price.

Depends what u want realy. U want to hear some lazy shit jokes, play for about 4-5 hours and forget it, totaly get it.

But for the same price u can get some realy awesome games (Portal 2, doh).


Don't get me wrong, im from 1988, and I'm a Duke fan aswell. But this game isnt still worth it's price, just wait a bit more.

If you really feel the need to buy the game instead of renting and beating it once, wait till you see it in the bargain bin for 10 - it just isn't worth more than that.

I already bought Neverwinter Nights 2 and Hitman: Blood Money. I mean, I kinda liked the demo, it made me laugh a lot. I'm kind of on the edge of getting it, I really just need that extra "push" to shell out for it.

It's extremely crap. Get it for 5 bucks or less if you really must. Shouldn't be too long before it's at that pricepoint. Like earlier posters stated; there's soooo much epicness you could get on steam for 25 dollars.

Unless you're that much of a hardcore fan that you would even buy the Duke Nukem toilet plunger if there was one, then sure, by all means buy it. Otherwise, no, just no. $25, is still too good for that trainwreck.

I think 25 is a good price for it. Duke really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. That doesn't mean it is particularly good, but if you liked the old duke games and you're tired of the current wave of "realistic shooters" it's a good pick up. 25 is about what you should pay for it, as 50/60 is well more than what the game is worth

Much better games games for 25$, Forever is a crap FPS even as a fun shooter. Its actually pretty generic.

I laughed when I saw DNF was 50% off. Pretty bad that it is already going on sale for 50% off. Portal 2 is also 50% off... I wonder how much longer it will be until Valve starts giving it away like candy as they did with Portal 1.

I personally will be picking up Terraria and NWN2. I have found memories of NWN2, and will enjoy reliving them, and I have heard Terraria is fun. You can spend your 25 dollars on Steam in a much more productive manner.
