Think of it this way - the sort of talk you see at a WWE match is appropriate there, but not on the golf course. The trash talkers have simply been given their game.C95J said:Wait, so after years of complaining at people being rude and abusive over the mics in multiplayer, suddenly you are praising it because it is attached to this game?
To be honest I don't know what is so special about this game anyway...
As for why it's special - DK3D was out when I was at university, and it was THE party game. The whole multiplayer was almost Spy vs Spy in it's concept - it wasn't a matter of out-strafing or sniping, but a matter of putting that laser-triggered mine pointing at the door, so when they opened it they had just enough time to hear "beep beep BOOM!" and then the laughing from down the hall. Or people coming out of the ducts over your head, and so on.
"When it's time for the US Open, I'm going to be putting balls so hard, your caddy is gonna..."
Yeah you're right.
OT: I haven't played a Duke Nukem game since one of the first ones that was available on the N64. I have to say, some random wacky fun in multiplayer would be a nice change of pace. Although, I do enjoy the shenanigans people get up to on GTA IV's multi.
