To be fair, it's not the first time someone around her has had to pull out of a sticky situation.

Wow... I can safely say I agree with her point. It's entirely fine to make a stage where you do nothing but shoot up a bunch of defenseless civilians in a populated airport, but its not alright to invite someone whose profession is a little outside the market of young hormone-fueled brats, at least according to Activision?
I should point out that in this day and age, her profession does in fact inadvertantly cater to hormone-fueled brats.

I guess Activision can't take a bit of friendly competition? :D

Wait a minute. Activision throws a VIP party for a freaking video game, in Amsterdam of all places, wich is probably just an excuse for hoes, cocaine and gun dealing; and then it uninvites a porn star? WTF?

Well, obviously, the difference is, the porn star has actually had sex, while the gamers are only PRETENDING to kill people!

So, of course, actual soldiers will be uninvited from the event too... right? I mean, if we don't want to glorify sex, we also don't want to glorify getting paid to kill and maim people for the benefit of the fat cats who are leeching off the military-industrial complex...

Maybe Activision didn't want to offend their customers...

I mean... inviting someone that has sex for a living, when their customers are so frequently virgins.

Zing!

Not a big fan of the porn industry, but that was just rude and unprofessional. And yeah, it reinforces the stereotype that Americans are gun-toting prudes.

So you can make a game about Russians getting slaughtered in an airport, WWIII and have soldiers practically rubbing each others intestines on their face; but god forbid you fuck on camera for money.
Seems legit.

Eh, it's their launch party, they can invite whoever the hell they want, and uninvite them too. Honestly I would have rather kept this sort of thing private if I was miss Holland, no one wants to be known as the person that was uninvited to a party.

Still, it was sort of ironic, as the "adult actress" said that Activision is fine with the ten hour murder party but too sensitive for the porn star. I wouldn't be surprised if Activision had an entire squad of booth babe esque girls that will be working the event. Once again, the irony.

I'm with this guy. While it does suck for her...she should be pretty used to thing sucking...she is pretty much a glorified hooker,
You mean "glorified" as in "legitimate" job right? Or is sex as a job too vulgar for you.

Monoochrom said:
she is paid to have sex, not how she wants,
Untrue, she/he can choose how she/he wants to do it.

Monoochrom said:
when she wants or with who she wants,
Again, untrue. She/he can choose what she/he wants and/or who she/he wants. It depends on the job though.

Monoochrom said:
If that isn't a prostitute, I don't know what is.
It's a job, why is it a hard concept to understand? And the only kind of bad prostitution is when the people are forced to do it against their will.

Monoochrom said:
Porn and Violence are (atleast most of the time) very different things.
True, but they both take a mature mind to understand.

Monoochrom said:
A person can be pro-war and contra-sexual explicity at the same time.
Sure they can, it wouldn't make a lot of sense though but they could.

Monoochrom said:
And seeing as they have nothing to do with each other, I don't see why they should take the chance of somebody jumping on them for this, it's a game release afterall and as most of us should know, plenty of people still consider Video Games as a whole as something for kids.
It's not about the differences, as we can all agree both are very different, but about the way it was handled and the ignorance around it.

And not true video games as a whole are something for kids. You'll find more people that rally behind video games rather than against.

She'll probably be more recognisable to most gamers than the b-list celebrity's that turn up. Not that I would know what she's been in of cause.

This. Is not. News.

And seriously, it's their own party, they can invite and uninvite whoever the hell they want.
