E3 2010: James Bond Is Back In GoldenEye 007 Wii Remake

Ahaha, finally, being a PC gamer with only the Wii as an alternative is paying off! No XBLA or PSN for you Wiiless suckers!

I'm kidding of course, but it's true that I'm happy with my Wii. It doesn't have many games, but the ones I got are great. Also, I haven't played the original GoldenEye and I doubt this Wiimake will seem as revolutionary as the original in these modern times, but it still looks like a solid game nonetheless (from the trailers anyhow).

Whats that sound I can hear coming from Nintendo 'Cha-Ching' // Im sure that everyone and their dad is going to want to get this game, but again they feel the need to have a wiimote clip on, which is this case doesnt look half bad, it has colour for one, but it just another gimic that after 10minutes of playin you will take off and never use again

Unfortunate that they replaced Brosnan. I don't have the great GoldenEye memories that most seem to (I opted to almost totally skip the N64, a decision I certainly don't regret) but I'm curious to see how the controls end up on the Wii. It could be a disaster for all those who remember the original game so fondly.

TBF, Goldeneye WAS the N64, most of the other games were just ok.

Who knows though, this could actually sell the Wii to hardcore gamers. I'd certainly consider it more of the birthplace of console multiplayer rather than that other much hyped game.

Don't see how that's a bad thing since Nintendo owns the rights to Goldeneye!

its a bad thing because the wii's motion controls suck. they have ruined every game i have tried to play on it and Goldeneye deserves better

Rightt......And yet I've played MPT,Call of Duty W@W and MW reflex and The Conduit with no problems and Red Steel 2 with the Motion plus is fun. They don't suck. Only the person holding the controller.

wow, and with that extensive list i am still not impressed. regardless of how you try to spin it in your little "its not the tools, its the craftsman" thing, motion controls are notoriously wonky and it will take another console generation for that wonkyness to at least alleviate. as for wii motion plus, having to pay more money to get the controllers to do what they were supposed to do is a rip-off. also, most of your games did not do as well both critically and commercially compared to their counterparts on actual consoles

Pleeeeaaaaseeee may they not mess this remake up. Simply for everyone sanity. Imagine the anger on these very forums if it turns out to be not the equivilent of the original dipped in chocolate, studded with diamonds, rose sented brilliant that I'm sure everyone is hoping it will be cosidering how well loved the original is.
Craig instead of Brosnand? Hmmm... Bond is Bond but is Goldeneye the same with a different actor? Would 'Tomorrow Never Dies' be the same if it had Roger Moore in it not Brosnand? We'll see.

Goldeneye was one of my first console games, and I love it so. I got it back when I was like 6, and I still play it regularly.

A nice modern update would be nice, but there's so much that could go wrong!

EDIT: And it seems people are complaining about it being on the Wii.

Which is made by Nintendo.

And the original was on the N64.

Well, it was made by Rare, and is not a Nintendo character. I want my 360 port. I dont need no remake. Just port the damn thing.

It indeed looked similar to a PS2 game. But then again, as long as there's as much fun as there was with the original version I really don't give a damn. Not that I have a Wii...*sobs* Damn you Nintendo, suddenly becoming so awesome and making me want your consoles!!!
