ECA Rallying Gamers at the Supreme Court

The Entertainment Consumers Association is holding a rally for free speech at the Supreme Court on November 2 and it wants you to be there.

November 2 is going to be a big day for the videogame industry, and for gamers across the U.S. and around the world. That's the day the Supreme Court of the United States will hear arguments on California's proposed law to regulate the sale of videogames to minors. It's also the day the Entertainment Consumers Association is holding a rally to support free speech and show the Supreme Court Justices that gamers take their First Amendment rights seriously.

The rally is scheduled to take place at 9:00 am on November 2 at the United States Supreme Court building, located at One First Street, NE, Washington, DC. Bah, i wish i could come but ~800$ for plane tickets is a a bit too much for making a protest trip, plus im not quite sure whenever US Embassy would grant me tourist visa if i stated i want it to take part in such action...

I still wish luck to anyone going there and hope that lots of people will show up, else it would mean you just give a damn and approve such laws.

If I did live in the U.S(and close to D.C), I'd probably be there, but sadly that's not the case. All the best to those who show up for it, though.

Well a rally isn't going to help since this is the Judicial branch of government, the supreme court doesn't have to worry about reelection. But it'll be a nice show of support, though it'll be embarrassing if only a few people turned out.

Well a rally isn't going to help since this is the Judicial branch of government, the supreme court doesn't have to worry about reelection. But it'll be a nice show of support, though it'll be embarrassing if only a few people turned out.

I highly doubt their decision will be made the same day, but it would be cool to be there when it is made and we can stick it to the ignorant snobs. Considering what is on the line here, you can bet your cookies there will be a big turnout.

Daily Show rally /s on the 30th oct, games rally on the 2nd Nov. Some good events happening in DC over the coming weeks. If not for the Halloween parties back at home, in between, you could stay for a couple of days and catch both....
