I've been waiting on this for a few years now and its finally here, almost. Chapter one is being released on March 27 after I think two years maybe three of development. Can't really remember, just happy its here.
I'm not certain how much of a game this will be. Based on things the developer/animator has talked about and some images from the game I get the impression this will be along the lines of a first person adventure game, kind of like a point and click style adventure game but with a gun at times maybe? Considering what the animations the developer released long before the game was an idea I'm guessing any gun will not necessarily do what one expects a gun to do. That's the big attraction on this - the game is based on a short series of surrealist animations where a character goes through simple adventures that are roughly analogous to real life. They're generally fun and interesting with positive and negative bents at times, but the idea of a longer adventure style interaction with the world shown in the animations is pretty cool.
The first trailer is below if anyone is interested, but watch out for flashing lights or rapidly transitioning scenes. Unfortunately a lot of their animations are like that - it isn't brutal or intense, but anyone with sensitivity should take care.
My understanding is the game will be free for anyone indefinitely, but there will also be a "support the developers" version of the game that will include some unused content and other goodies if you want to give them a tip for their work.
