Post enemies you hate, and explain why you hate them.

Of all the enemies of the Doom franchise, Archvile is what I despise the most! He has a lot of HP, his attack do a lot of damage, throws you away and has a long range and to make matters worse he can revive dead enemies.

Mega dr salvador (resident evil 4)

Not only does this enemy possess a good amount of HP, it kills you with only one attack and is quite fast. He is only present in the mercenary mode in the Waterworld phase, but he is the main reason of why this map is the most difficult.

Cerberus (God of War 1 and 2)

They are the most irritating enemies to face for me, Have a good ammount of HP, they vomit puppies that can become adults if they are not killed quickly, launch 3 projectiles in row, has a dash attack and a grab. You have to abuse the medusa power to make the fight easier, of course, if the medusa power is up.

Fast moving, and you can't dodge the attacks. Yeah, really annoying.

And it's attacks make you wobble, isn't of just doing damage. Anything that affects your interface or movement is so annoying.

I don't hate the Zealots that much, but it can get annoying when fighting them in Mercenaries mode.

Grace and Glory (with Gracious and Glorious being even worse) - Bayonetta

Goro & Honey (Especially on Very Hard and Mania) - Streets of Rage 4

The Fallen in DMC 3. Though honestly only them , the Blood Goyles, and those dumb shield enemies with the jewels on their back I consider the most aggravating. You can at least combo the large reaper demon and the spider demons.

The boring one

When you're alone hunting down a psychotic serial killer that no one cares about because mankind being enslaved by giant alien eyeballs is already draining, you tend to hate him a little more with each new victim you discover.

When you enjoy a game franchise for most of its gameplay except its boss fights, you're not endeared to the characters that turns the sequel into one permanent, barely interrupted, boss fight.

When your only comfort as you try to survive through an underground complex are your sanity and a friendly woman through a radio, it's hard not to hate the sarcastic entity in your head who shatters the former to make you harm the latter.

When an unstoppable being starts consuming the whole universe, repurposing every biological or mechanical material it ingests, things get all the more personal after hearing it transform your screaming crew into flesh-and-metal missiles to fire at you.

Banshees in Mass Effect 3, and their spiritual successor in Mass Effect Andromeda, the Kett Ascendant. Both of them, I hate for the same reason. It's one thing to have an enemy that can instantly kill you if they get within melee range. It's a whole new level of bullshit to given an enemy an instant-kill melee move AND teleportation abilities.

Bats. Videogames got an under-reported bat problem. They're easily dismissed due to their humble health bars. But those little flappy fuckers add up. And they are not afraid to stun-lock you, your family and your favourite pet's unassuming ass. I try to understand and forgive, for they know not what they do. Yet they are deadly and cannot be trusted.

Bats and similar enemies are usually just an annoyance... except when they appear during platforming with bottomless pits and spikes that instantly kill you. They will without exception be placed to spawn specifically where you would already be in the middle of a jump so they can run into you and knock you into said insta-death areas and where it's near impossible to destroy them before then even if you know they're coming.

There are too many to list, but for a standout I think it’s funny that the Revenants found in both new God of War’s and Elden Ring are total A-holes.

Sometimes it is even worse with the birds and falcons.

Yeah, agreed, was a tad unsober when typing that, but bats were meant as the most common stand in for basically any small enemy that can sneak past your vision when you're distracted by either bigger enemies or(and!) platforming and hassles your current actions with stun-locks or worse, including those scuttley buggers in Dead Space with their own button mash animation: they introduce an even more irritating version later too. And Callisto Protocol only making it worse with their unavoidable slithery pouncing leeches! (Tried finding GIFs for any of these, with bafflingly disappointing results...the internet continues to fail us all)

I would argue - at least with Banshees - that combination of ability makes them a challenge and encourages the player to keep on the move.

I personally found greater frustration with two much lower spec enemies: the Cerberus Guardian and Cerberus Engineer. The Guardians have that fucking bullet shield that requires you to either aim for that tiny slot unless you’re an Adept. The Engineer is a complete bastard of a mob for every single class except another Engineer, cos then you just hack his turret.

Fury enemies in DMC5. Mainly in DMD mode. The same applies to the Proto-Angelos. The Angelo's get way too much health, even on the default difficulty. The Bliztes from DMC4 are so much worse though.
