Lickers in RE:2. "Oh, gee, what the fuck is that? Looks scary but its most likely a pushover." Lick, cut. Dead. "Oh...shit..."0_0 God I hate those things. Dr. salvador was an asshole too, and so are all his friends. (Except the chainsaw majini in RE:5. He would stand there an hour before he realizes hes supposed to be killing you. Dumbest enemy ever.)

I agree with you so much. Those guys scared the living daylights outta me when I was younger, and I'm sure if I picked up WW to play today, they would still give me the heebie jeebies.

What are some of the baddies you've come across in in video games that you always, ALWAYS take seriously? These aren't necessarily the worst of the worst, or even, really, all that bad. But! When you made first contact your initial thought was "Oh shit!" And that reaction will forever be embedded in yourself.

I'll go first: Re-Deads.

God. DAMN. Re-Deads.

Ever since Ocarina of Time, I could NEVER just walk up to a re-dead and go to town on him. Even though I'm perfectly aware that they're easily stun-locked to death, I always have to carefully approach, and eliminate, every single re-dead in the room with meticulous and vicious precision. Majora's Mask actually made it worse, believe it or not, when they would dance while you wore the Gibdo mask. I always sort of thought they were mocking you...

And don't even get me started on the Re-Deads from Wind Waker. Make fun of me if you must, those things were the stuff of nightmares...

So what about you?
The red ants in Fallout 3, don't get me wrong, they're easy, but since it was pretty much my first mission out of the Vault and I wasn't familiar with the place, well... Me and my brother were joking around when we saw it start to run to us, it was a little (comparatively) worker too and we had just beaten one of those Scorpions, we saw the name either red, or fire ant if that's what it says and thought either way it was simply a reflection of its color, then *VOOOOSH*, "HOLY **** I'M ON FIRE!!!! RUN AWAY, SHOOT IT!!!" (Etc) Playing things with my brother tends to spice normally mundane gaming events a bit, but yeah we panicked like hell, it was the most hilarious thing and after that I've been cautious with ants, doing whatever is in my power to kill them before they can reach me at all.

Whats that chinese sounding beast monster in Fallout 3 called again? Because that thing will rape your face with its claws
I think you are referring to Yaoi Gois? (I think I spelled the last part wrong.) I hated those things as well. That's what made me get the animal friend perk, and they're the reason why I get that perk every playthrough now.

Duriel from Diablo II. I hate that guy.
Oh God yes. Toughest enemy in the entire game. I've had to abandon many characters at that point, as unlike later bosses there was no retreat short of a TP. If the battle went sour for you- which it likely would, given Duriel's stunning ability, then you were boned.

Those little black bastards, however, have given me more startled jolts than I care to admit as a grizzled FPS veteran.

Ugh, that video gave me chills.

Hunters in Halo...
Hunters in Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 were piss easy. In ODST on the other hand.... "What's that, bright-orange weak spot? You don't exist any more? Whaaaat?"

From that point on, if you didn't have a rocket launcher with you, running was pretty much your only option.

The enemy that I take most seriously?

Nearly all of them?

Lately it's the big daddies in Bioshock, it's because I'm trying to conserve ammo.

First one ever was the boomerang brothers in Super Mario Brothers 3, those bloody boomerangs are difficult to dodge.

The Hardest enemy I took seriously was probably the Jaggernauts in Specter, anyone would find those things to be a pain in the ass.
I feel your pain, I tend to save up on everything when playing a game, I almost never use consumable items, much less the rare ones so in games like Fallout and Bioshock I pretty much tried to smack everything I could with a pipe. ^_^

A lot of posts about RE4 I see.
Dr Salvador, Regenerators, Iron Maidens... then I'll say the Garrador. Always serieus bussines, especialy when you fight 2 of them at once at higher difficulty.

Every goddamned mid-level mini-boss in Bayonetta. They demand your full concentration and the kind of twitchy reflexes every hardcore FPS gamer have which I haven't. Actually, that goes for even the weakest of enemies too. Well, almost.

Still haven't beaten that game, though. It is a bit depressing to finish every single level with a stone statue... /sadface

The big sin-spawn boss on the beach in FFX,
Regenerators from Resident Evil 4,
And Peace walker battle 2 from MGS Peacewalker.

All such murderous bastards.

Any given full-sized dragon in Dragon Age: Origins. I fought both Flemeth and High Dragon 3 times before given up, and the Archdemon nearly broke my spirit.
I didn't have that hard of a time with the high drgaon compared to what you're describing. However fighting the Archdemon was probably one of the toughest bosses I've beat in a while. Although using allies you've built up really takes a load off when the demon summons help.

An enemy I will never go easy on would be the fighting the Imperial spirit soliders in Jade Empire

I can't remember its name, but a fiend inside sin of FFX casts the super powerful meteor when you kill it. Destroys a lot of my progress. Another one is the Invisible heartless of Kh1. scared the crap outta me first time i fought them, and they kicked my ass, too.

Agatha from the Pokemon games. Mainly because I specialised in pokemon with physical attacks and Agatha's main pokemon (Gengar and Haunter) are immune to physical attacks! I tried so many times to kick that bitches ass and finally managed to beat her by taking away a little bit of health at a time with my weaker energy-based pokemon. The last two battles after that were a doddle compared to her!

Also the weird snow monster on Democratus in Anachronox. He looked so cute and small until I pissed him off and he grew into a giant! Then he kept hiding behind piles of snow and I had no way to catch him out without an explosive or a radius attack.

Yeah, I'm usually testing to see if the pipe will be enough to beat 'em, otherwise I go through all the other weapons and see what most affective. Also, I have a bad habbit of conserving too much and forgetting to use all the powerful weaponry on the tough enemy's.
