I'm probably not going to watch this, though I predict a 1 - 1 draw.
Knock-out stages can't end in a draw. One of em has to win it by the end (even if its in penalties).

Personally I want and think England to win. ENGERLAND! Then we'll have the other big rivalry of England v Argentina (with Maradona as coach).

Lol i would love it that if we lost against the Argies that Capello runs and drop kicks Maradona!! that would make the loss a bit more bareable :)

We couldn't beat Algeria. Hell we couldn't beat the US, that's bad, that's really bad. Germany is going to crush England.

I want England to win, and the way we played last time we actually might if rooney gets out of his bad patch. In our last game even thougth we played well we only had 10 men, plus rooney untill the last few minutes of him on the field.

Poor guy, hope he gets over it. We might proceed to win against Germany.

What we cannot do under any circumstances is go up against the penalty machine :)

Idon't support either team, but I hope for 3-1. don't care who wins, but 3-1 means interesting football.

you know what, scratch that, I just want an interesting match, 'cause I get nothing of that when watching Holland. Now Spains last match, THAT was football, damn it!

Oh, and there's another reason beside the octopus why this is a definite win for Germany: Whenever Germany lost one match in the group-stage, they made it to the last round.

Podolski's missed goal against the Serbs, I think. The commentators were mentioning that stat that day.

OT: Scoreline will depend completely on what team Capello plays and if they're up for it. Drop Heskey, stop playing Gerrard on the left, play Joe Cole, etc etc. Also, depends on whether Germany's key offensive players click. Klose is consistent, but Podolski and Ozil less so, and Schweinsteiger might not be fit.

England will lose. Even on the last game that they won, they were rubbish but the commentators big everything up. They just dont have the quality that Germany has.

Funny thing is, Germany's main rivals are Netherlands so it is England who care the most.

I think its good, I think England relish playing Germany. Also the younger generation can now finally know what it feels like to need that change of trousers after watching 120 minutes of tense football

We want Heskey on as he is a player who is good at running through their team as he is so large. If he doesn't play joe cole i think we won't have a chance.

I'm guessing England will win.
But I'm hoping it'll be 5-1 to Germany just for the lol factor.

Germany 2, England 1

German defense will be shaky, but England will be unlucky enough not to score. German attacks won't be able to faze the English defense, and the 2 goals are pure luck (and one mistake by the goalkeeper). Rooney will see 2 yellow cards in the game, so only 10 English players in the 2nd half.

No penalties.

Heskey isn't much use, really. Sure, he holds up the ball well, but that's about it. I would rather he played Rooney alone with Gerrard in the hole, or even Lennon for that matter since he used to play in that position for Tottenham at times and did just fine. Personally, I'ld like to see Cole, Lennon, and Milner on at the same time, but that's just me.

England currently are playing very badly. But germany are sucking too. I can't tell whats going to happen, but Europe has sort of died this World cup. Ignoring Holland and Spain, as a continent we've failed.

I really want Germany to win so that we stop giving two shits about the World Cup here in England. Then I can get my Pointing And Laughing Finger out to make fun of all of those who said that "This is the one!"
Yeah; because that's totally not an incredibly childish and just genuinely unpleasant thing to do now is it?

Anyway; as I've stated throughout I'd rather England not win the world cup (though not for the kind of reason I quoted) but I'd like us to beat Germany. We may have begun to peak at the right time; we may resort back to old ways - it depends which England side shows up today; because the Germans are, as usual, impressively efficient.
