Indigo is right you cant compare them, the PS2 (and PS1) took alot of time to master due to how hard they where to program for (the later games on PS2 were amazeing visualy compared to the earlier titles due to this) wheres the 360 was designed to be easy to program (based on PC tech) so you wont get the massive leaps for 360 like you did with PS2 or PS1.Indigo_Dingo said:Yes, but the Ps2 was the Ps2, and the 360 is the 360. The 360 is nowhere near like the Ps2 in any way. If the Xbox ever managed to do that "major increase in graphics" there would be a tiny amount of validity to what they're claiming, but as it stands, they're bluffing.Shadowlolz said:well remember the PS2 at its last push of games GOW 2 namely even Shadow of the colossus looked as good as some early 360 games which made us question its power. of course as you figure out ways to push it farther you will get results.. Games i think are at a damn near perfect level of graphics capability. of vourese there is room to grow and the beeter stuff and techniques get the better results you get later on.
Exactly! Does it really matter if a game looks pretty, very pretty or amazingly pretty?? Not to me it doesn't, actually some of the games I play most have relatively simple graphics. Really, what's with the obsession with graphics? I'd much rather see them pushing the envelope in areas such as gameplay, replayability, extras/unlockables, length of the game, balancing, fixing glitches, etc etc.Trendkill6 said:I hate how people just want prettier games.

Oh, yeah, sometimes things can look good and enhance gameplay. But what I don't like is giving priority to graphics just so the game will look awesome in screenshots and have a big "oooh shiney" factor, as I suspect a lot of games do these days.Indigo_Dingo said:Well some things can fall under a number of categories. For instance - living scenery, moving on a level that is itself moving over terrain. Is this a purely aesthetic tweak?Antiparticle said:Exactly!
