Epic and their new game - Fortnite

I am suprised with the style but it still isnt clear what the player will be able to do, it looks like it has a lot of scavenging and survival in a fun way

Is it only going to be now that Epic looses the "douche" and "bro" image that players have associated with (although I honestly dont know why, a lot of people seem to dismiss Gears just because its a "bro" game lol)

Well there is Cliff Bleszinski who is a total douchebag. Considering that Epic got popular from the Unreal games on the PC he's decided to repay that fan loyalty by totally insulting them every chance he gets. Then we get to more recent stuff like him calling the 8 out of 10 reviews for Gears 3 "hateful". About the trailer itself I hope they aren't going to try and make that survival horror since that looks way to stylized to succeed in bring actual horror.

Looking back, I get why you would think I'm being sarcastic, but there are seriously a lot of people who just are just complete asshats with the grammar stuff.
And like I said, you do it in a pretty nice way, so good job.

I'm going to hold back on my opinion for this one until we see a gameplay trailer. But hey, at least their isn't JUST zombies for this one. Some weird shadow things too!

Yeah thats sort of the vibe im getting. Minecraft mechanics with TF2 graphical aesthetics in a L4D scenario.

With a name like fortnite and that trailer what else could it be?

Honestly that is one element Ive always felt most zombie games are missing, creating defensive points. Always bugged me in L4D you spend all your time and energy to get to a safe place .... just so you can leave it and look for another safe place?!?!

Well if it is like that, it might well be the first epic game I buy since... Unreal tournement that had the Maya Alias program added on for map modding.

Honestly, visuall it looks like something that a indie studio could manage to pull of (see Dead Block) so I hope that there is a shitload of content (wich is great for a survival type of game) and that there is a lot of freedom for the player, basicly take some inspiration from Minecraft in terms of gameplay.
