At this very moment, I'm watching the end to Armageddon (aka before Michael Bay started making crap). It's a very powerful ending. Sad music, Bruce Willis crying, Steven Tyler's spawn breaking into tears, things exploding. Very nice. What movie endings stick in your mind, Escapists? Just give you that moment of "Awh. That was really neat."?

Lately? The ending of Toy Story 3. If you're the right age (about 20-ish) then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Man, that thing was depressing as hell.

300. Everybody who remotely cares has seen 300 so knows exactly what I'm talking about!

That and the Doctor Who Movie!
Seriously! The Master gets sucked into a miniature black hole inside a time traveling Police Box that is bigger on the inside owned (read: stolen) by a 907 year old alien with 2 hearts and the ability to "die" 12 times

You can't make that shit up!

When I went, the whole cinema was just people around my age (18). It's because we've grown up with it.

The Professional had one of the most epic endings I've ever seen in a film.

Someone did.

Not a movie but the end of Mass Effect 2. God dammit that game is cinematic. Seriously whoever does their cutscene planning would improve Hollywood immensely. Also I thoroughly enjoyed Lucky Number Slevin.

The usual suspects and Seven are high on my list.
The stories have incredibly good endings.
Problem with those kind of movies, you can only be amazed once.

I think I stopped liking Fight Club at that point. I mean, they were pushing me on it by having Durden build an army not unlike the Joker's, but the ending felt so far detached it wasn't credible in the slightest.

If they'd of had the discussion between Durden and the narrator in a different context it would have been much better.

Without doubt, the absolute bet movie ending is the ending to Jaws. More movies need shark explosions.

In terms of epicness, Tony Montanna's last stand was just awsome, but i always cry like a little girl at the end of Forrest Gump.
