That was amazing. I would really like to see this continue.
I think Half-Life 2 would make an amazing movie, just not from the viewpoint of Gordon and Alyx, we've already played through that part. Lets have more of the nameless rebels, like in this series!

I think Valve are more than OK with this; it's been plugged on the Steam Update News that pops up when you start Steam. I'd say that's an endorsement and a half! Really good work, impressive stuff. I feel rude even thinking about critisicing the slightly hammy acting and kinda goofy headcrab zombies, when the CGI integration work is so superb.

They aren't making any money off of it, so it's basically a free valve commercial

that did not look like $500 dollar budget. my only complaint is that the convine(or however you spell thier name) looked extremly fake. but with no crew and a limited amount of time. i can see why they didnt hire a make-up artist

Now, if they can make that with only $500 between 2 episodes, imagine what Hollywood (working very closely with Valve so nothing goes wrong) could do.

If 500 dollars can make THIS, why is 5 million being wasted on full length films that cant even match this?

I would love for these guys to get the funding for a full Half Life film, they stick closely to the source material and do it justice.

Uwe Boll is asking for 50 dollars off 350 thousand people so he can make his new movie, which will obviously be horrible no matter how much cash he gets.
Now imagine if someone with real talent like the Purchase Brothers received the funding that Boll gets.

The world would be a better place.

That covers actors fees mostly, because such entertainers are such important people that their precious minutes should be valued so highly, and all their expensive clothes and props.

I don't think this could be considered fair use. Does anybody know why this isn't copyright infringement? Did they get Valve's permission, or will this disappear as soon as Valve's lawyers get around to writing a C&D.

A real shame if it does. Let's hope Valve is cool with this.

Valve is like your cool uncle who lets you play with his rifle shooting pidgeons and lets you drive his motorcycle. Compared to EA who is like your uptight friend's hypochrist mother.
