Bob disliked Jennifer's Body, Twilight, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. And he did have some gripes with the new Star Trek and bemoaned the lost potential in Terminator: Salvation (and apparently X-Men Origins: Wolverine if the references to it in his reviews over the summer say anything), so he's not just pandering to everything.witchkid42 said:Don't get me wrong, I love these reviews. In fact, this show is one of my favorites on the Escapist. That said, I can't help but notice that "Movie Bob" seems to love just about every movie he sees. So basically, I'm stuck between mainstream critics hating everything and Bob loving everything. I think that this show could be a hell (pun semi-intended) of a lot better if he was more objective in his reviewing.
What are you talking about? The movie IS outselling Saw 6 at the box office.AvsJoe said:Well, the bubble has gotta be burst. There is no way this will outperform Saw at the Box-office. That is wishful thinking at its most egregious. Kinda like that one guy a little while ago who said that if his game out sold Madden 10 he would give his game away for free. Wishful thinking...
Anyway, I'll probably go see this, but only when it hits the cheap theaters so I'll only be adding $2.00 to the total box-office receipts either slightly before or just after it's released on DVD.
*sigh* Take a look at the date and time I wrote that comment. Friday morning; a little while before most theaters opened their doors for the day. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that I was proven wrong and the little-horror-that-could was kicking the ass of a series that got stale quite a while ago. This is gonna be sweet revenge:ramik81 said:Maybe you should base your estimates on actually facts instead of your imagination...0o
I agree most people who say they hate saw have never seen the movies. I have watched all of the Saw movies and feel it is one of the best written horror series ever, with all its twists and turns it never gets old.animahaynes said:and btw I'm an American and I LIKE Saw, then I kind of wonder if you people have actually watched Saw before
The FIRST "Saw" was damn near perfect for what it was, a genuinely great film. "Saw 2" was pretty decent in it's own right. The series has been basically useless from #3 on, and since #4 it's also been pointlessly complicated. #5 is literally two movies going on at the same time that had NOTHING to do with one-another.dolfan1304 said:I agree most people who say they hate saw have never seen the movies.
