I was pretty sure that if I ever saw Robin Hood, I would not like it as much as I like the Disney Furry Version. Thanks for telling me I'm probably right (Unless you hate that one and like this one more then that). Fluffernutter doesn't taste too good, mostly because bread+ Marshmallow don't mix to me. But "Nottingham", the idea that the Sheriff is the good guy and Robin Hood is a dirty thief, sounds like an actual good idea to me. I'm gonna make that now, and show it at Sundance (If it gets accepted there).

I had no idea this movie even existed until this review came out. But that's not why I'm posting.

Is that a picture of Dr. Vink around the 1:12 mark? Holy CRAP, Bob. You are A) awesome B) a nerd and C) awesomely a nerd. Good show. XD

Personally, you can all go to hell!

Maybe it's the fact that I am from Nottingham, But I enjoyed this film. Sure it was a prequel in some sense, but you don't go to a strip club to see the same thing 20 times over. Unless your really into that stripper. It was good, and if your interested in watching it I would recommend.

If you believe everything an American tell's you, then maybe they did save our butt in world war 2. Not like we were going to be able to hold out forever while you scratched your head's over what to do. OH, EDGY.

If you want to try the Fluffernutter, it's relatively easy: You need Peanut-Butter and marshmallow creme spread. It's sold as "Fluff" here in the Northeast, I think it's just "creme" everywhere else. Jelly/honey optional, if you're into that. Only really works with white bread, preferrably potato-bread or Canadian white. "high-grade" or grain breads don't "grab" thick spreads as well, and aren't really ideal. Fluff goes on one side, PB on the other, slap together and serve. Goes best with cold milk. Cheese puffs or potato chips ideal as the side.

They're great for picnic food and, given that both ingredients are designed to "keep" they make excellent packed/boxed lunches.

Fluffer nutter? Ew.

Sounds like the robin hood movie was misleading. We were thinking the robin hood men in tights steal from the rich and stuff like that. Turns out it was the precoursor to that. Which is annoying in it's misleadingness. Sounds like it might be decent if you just want some action. But then again iron man 2. Oh well. I'll just go went disney's robin hood (I like that one a lot even though it's very kiddy what with talking animals and so forth).

Frankly, I'm glad that this is a bad movie. I HATE Robin Hood, I find him morally and principally yucky.

I just got back from it. My opinion is that it's a good movie. Yes it's not really "Robin Hood'-y but at the same point, it's an origin story and a rather believable one. It makes more sense that this guy would be some legendary outlaw since he lead this army to stop a french invasion and John got his knickers in a twist when everyone loved Robin and not him and decided to throw him to the wolves. The people love him, the king hates him. Good origin and re-imagining for the beginning of things. And it also really sets the stage of John being this petty and greedy tyrant, which he is.

The only big plot hole, in my opinion, is that King Henry is dead so the whole Henry coming back to reclaim the crown from the tyrannical Prince John (In a later movie, obviously) resolution can no longer happen. All the "unconnected" plot points that Bob complains about are, in fact, explained. You just need to *gasp* pay attention.

If you go into this movie in your green tights and expect a straight telling of the "Robin Hood" story as Walt Disney did it, minus the furries, yeah you're going to be disappointed. If you can look beyond that, then you'll enjoy the movie.

I loved the movie, and if you just forget all the robin hood about it, everything makes sense, a little more. I loved the fat priest, it was the guy from the sitcom "still standing"

While I could talk about Robin Hood, being it's the review for it and all, I'll take up the How to Train Your Dragon comment instead. I personally enjoyed it a surprisingly a lot. I don't know why exactly I mean I can see your point about the human character designs, at least the younger character, fat vikings is amusing. I suppose I liked it since it was just plain fun without annoying sing songs or heavy drama elements. Don't get me wrong, I love when Pixar does that but once in a while you want just plain fun.

The history nut in me was screaming all through the run up to this film

"THERE WERE NO D-DAY LANDING CRAFT MADE OF WOOD, EVER!"
"WHEN DID ROBIN HOOD (in the "mythos") RIDE A HORSE, OR HAVE AN ARMY!?"

I mean, it's a made-up story/myth, so there's bound to be some historical diversion, but you don't just go reinventing the entire history of the planet from 1066-1215 because you CAN.

There were no fecking D-Day landing craft until...D-day, funnily enough

Oh, and I abhorr Crowe. Decent actor, but he's such an aggressive prat. I can't work out if he has stress problems or he thinks really highly of himself and throws a stroppy fit when thinks don't go Wussy's way.

Aw man, to think I was actually kinda excited for this movie. But you're right about Kingdom of Heaven though. I'm actually glad I didn't get to see that in theaters, just that four hours of brilliance on DVD. Maybe Robin Hood will be like that too. So might as well just wait for the DVD of that.

Three main things:

1.) You basically confirmed my fears about the Robin Hood movie. Now I know not to go see it.
2.) I noticed your smilies are different in this video. Did you find some new ones to use or something?
3.) FINALLY I hear your opinions on How to Train Your Dragon! I thought it was okay, too, and that the ending was the best part, other than Toothless himself.

Additionally, my mind is almost never in the gutter, and I probably WILL go see Iron Man 2 again, it's pretty damn awesome!

Am I just stupid? What else does fluffernutter sound like?
Maybe it's because I'm from New England... I just know what a fluffernutter is and nothing else comes to mind.
