Escapist articles/videos about indie devs getting hate?

I know a few honest indie game developers who successfully got their game project crowd-funded a couple of months ago and are currently working on it.

During their crowd-funding and still now they are getting quite a bit of bile from commenters online most of which basically saying "your art sucks", "why is this shit getting crowd-funded?", "why are people wasting their their money on this?", "I don't like this, so stop supporting this shit", "congratulations, your game is going to be offensive to everyone" and other such fallacious, entitled bs.
And the devs are getting frustrated about dealing with this.

Anyway, I was thinking:
Are there some good articles/videos that address this hatred people show for indie game projects / crowd-funding that they don't like?

Do you know good articles/videos that deal with something comparable that can be applied to the situation I described?

And which might apply to it the best and why?

The latest Jimquisition "Joy Begets Anger [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/8649-Joy-Begets-Anger]" deals with people hating it when someone likes a game they dislike, which I think can also be nicely applied to the situation above.

I'm going through the other episodes as I'm writing this. His "Go Fish" episode applies to lesser a degree, though I personally think it's not a strong episode.

I'm also looking for some good article/video that talks about being offended.

PS: For the sake of anonymity, I'm not going to mention what the game's name is or what it is about.

Well, that is hardly the point. Negative opinions are immensly valuable. As long as they have any structure or meaning whatsoever and isn't just a cheap, instantly gratifying way of being mean.

Going "This is shit" without explaining why it is or what can be done to change that is useless as far as criticism goes.

Oh so all criticism has to be useful?

How about this, you want the public to fund your game...you put up with public criticism. You know, if EA were funding a game and they didn't like something, they wouldn't have to come up with solutions. They would just say "change it" and that would be law.

The internet hates everything, I don't see why indie devs should be exempt. If something exists it will be hated. Can't say I know any articles about people hating those who hate on indie devs, but I can say ignoring them will help.

That's not what Muspelheim said.

I think I agree, but that's not what I asked for. Also I would classify much of the comments I mentioned not as mere criticisms but rather as abuse, attacks or insults.
I'm simply looking for good articles/videos that talk these issues in-depth, kinda like the Jimquisition episode I linked to.

I agree.

I am actually looking for these articles/videos in order to show them to some of those commenters.
