Escapist Crew Sweeps Project Powder Tournament

Last Friday, May 8th, was the start of the Project Powder Beta Reader Tournament in which The Escapist crew members went head-to-head with three other websites (On RPG, MMO Hub and Gamer's Temple) in multiple racing events. The winners of these timed races brought home some in-game cash and bragging rights for their site, along with the possibility of being the overall winner of the event.

Outspark has announced the winners from the Project Powder Beta Reader Tournament and The Escapist has taken EVERY prize!

It is a fun game though and it's awesome to play with the other escapist when there's enough on at once ^^

Man, and to think I didn't get to try this out with the rest of the Escapist due to my computer fritzing out on me. Well, with luck I can possibly get in on the next one. Then again, with my luck my car will break down next instead . Oh well, congrats to our Escapist Olympians! (of a sort)

Tons of fun, that was. Congrats to everyone who won. I was pretty darn good at that game, myself. Or played matches with people who weren't good at all. Or something else.

Anyway, fun game though I don't see much reason to go back to it now that the tournament is over. That item system is so bizarre.

Pretty sure the item system is only screwy like that because it's in beta and I guess they're trying to get some revenue until it's released. There will be more items that won't cost real cash and the game is free to play anyway.

Though it did make me lose interest in it but i'll still go back to play, just won't go at it quite so much.
