I believed it called the excuse plot. It just gives you a little more drive to play if you feel like being a part of something and not just some schmucks playing virtual casual paintball. Doom's was "these monsters that look like demons are literally from Hell. You can just run away. KILL 'EM ALL." I think it worked well and sure made me want to destroy every fiend in a level instead of just sneaking past the unnecessary ones. Maybe it will add more to multiplayer in Titanfall, but we'll have to wait and see.MinionJoe said:There are an awful lot of characters for a game with no single-player component. Seems rather unusual to me.
SHH, don't give EA any more bad ideas. I don't want to have buy DLC via card packs and never get the rare good stuff. It's bad enough Valve did that in TF2 with those locked crates, but at least you could buy everything at a reasonable price in the store. Also, "Burn Cards available in different rarities." So if you're a fan of CCGs, you should go pre-order Titanfall right now! Wondering if this is will be the microtransaction component required on all new EA games.
