There's already cyber-olympics : they're called paralympics, and some athletes do better performances than "normal people"

Great point. There does seem to be some debate, however, over whether he gains a competitive advantage or not. At the very least, he's not going full-on superhuman. If he were 25% faster than the best, I'd be impressed (not that someone who was born without full legs competing in the olympics isn't impressive).

Theremin would likely be easier to learn, but you could also consider a <url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM9hH3suOpo>sheng if you're looking for an instrument that can be made to sound like midi music.
