In the realm of the gaming community being significant in the real world, this is up there with Chinese prisoners being forced to farm gold in WOW and the Russian mob laundering money through TF2 earbuds and keys.

Great, another reason for people to hate on competitive gaming. But yeah, I don't know how this guy can answer up for this as an "April Fools Joke."

It probably would have been too technically difficult to reimburse individually people whose grpahics cards met their fate over this. But then again, I'd be annoyed if it was my graphics card. Honestly, allowing this level of unauthorised activity is negligent, and they do pretty much deserve a lawsuit.
Does not matter. he did the crime and should be held accountable for solving those technical difficulties, whether via his own ingenuity or by hiring people that know how to dot it, out of his own pocket. That would be like stealing from the store and whne caught telling the store it wont get compensated because somone is lazy to drive the stuff back.
