As many have stated before, it appears that Nintendo submits it's official websites to the ESRB for rating. Thus, the rating is for the website Zelda Universe, and not an MMO.

Besides, even if they plan on having an "online" component to their next Zelda doesn't mean it will be an MMO. It could work more like the "online" part of Demon's Soul.

To be honest, a Zelda MMORPG would basically be an exercise in seeing how many usernames based on the word 'link' could be generated.

I can think of a few minor ideas. Playing as different races like Gorons, Zoras, Dekus, and other species. But that's still not enough to justify a full game. And plus, this could always just be a new 4 Swords game with online co-op. Calling it now.

With a title like 'Zelda Universe' I cant help but think of a cross over title featuring all of the Links in some sort of crazy mashed up universe fighting against all the bosses/villains from the Legend of Zelda games.

Something like Warriors Orochi but instead of DW/SW gameplay it would be Zelda gameplay. Don't ask me how they'd make it work.

I don't actually understand all this negativity. I think if they pull this off right it could be the best thing to come to PC.

Imagine something along the lines of 4swords with the 3d game's viewpoint. Multiplayer dungeons possibly even generated based on the number of people in your party, multiplayer puzzle solving, possibly even bringing in class abilities to solve them, multiplayer zelda-style combat.

Everyone presumably heard the word 'MMO' and instantly thinks 'MMORPG' Which, admittedly is also a bad habit of the industry, but this is the Zelda team, they are forward thinkers. This could be a good chance to redefine the traditional notions of an MMO and create a seriously fun game.

Or it could just be a shitty WoW clone.

How does this have to do with a game? It's a site LISTING all their games with no mention of a "Zelda Universe" Game in sight, The sight is called Zelda Universe and the only ESRB rating says E-T which is for all the games listed.
