Eternal Sonata Not a 360 Exclusive

The question of Eternal Sonata's possible exclusivity on the Xbox360 has been answered with reports that the title will indeed hit the PS3, as well.

Produced by new studio Tri-Crescendo, the game mixes Japanese roleplaying game elements with a narrative theme involving renowned composer Chopin. Battle revolves around piano play and other in-game music, as well as magic elements.

Namco-Bandai announced today the title - slated for 360 release next week - will arrive on the PS3 sometime early next year.

The information comes just ahead of the Tokyo Game Show, for which both companies have been revving up with announcements for the Japanese market segment.

It just doesn't make much sense for any third-party to release a platform-exclusive title unless they're either being paid to keep it exclusive, or unless they're heavily relying on something that is platform-dependent.
