We all are unique, just like everybody else, but sometimes, people have problems differentiating other people. Some of my friends got mistaken for very young or very old, celebreties, or sometimes people of the different gender. What's hilarious is sometimes people are so off their mark, you wonder if they're crazy. One time in California, I was swimming in a wetsuit and someone thought I was an otter. The diver took out his camera, took a shot, and swam away. I was really too embarassed to say something. Something like this ever happen to you?

hahaha an otter! The OtterBoy strikes again! I had a friend that one time was in a cab in Beijing and he had long blonde hair and the cab driver thought he was a girl and started hitting on him. As for me, I've been said to be the young Brad Pitt.

At my local gym, I could have sworn I've seen both Ray Allen and Dwight Howard (basketball players). Not because the people were black, but because they literally looked exactly like them.

I also thought I saw the man who plays the janitor on Scrubs, except it turned out to actually be the guy.

I was a football game, and this guy said to me "Hi Jake!" For the record, my name is not Jake. I had to explain this fact to this man. Apparently his friend Jake had told him that he'd be at a high school football game wearing a purple shirt and a white tie (school colours), which was what I was wearing.

i started talking to some girl the other night in a club thinking she was a friend of mine. I was clearly mistaken, and in my drunken state i feel i may have scared some young woman...

Someone said I used to look like Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter. That was 6 years ago and I pray to God it's still not the case.

Once when I was out with my boyfriend we were mistaken for father and daughter. We're both 20 years old.

In a small effort towards their defense, I've ALWAYS been mistaken for being at least 5 years younger than I am...I've gotten used to being carded at the movie theater and being asked what high school (or sometimes even middle school) I go to.

People on this site get my gender wrong all the time. It's sad.
I've been mistaken for my brother a couple times.

I'm often mistaken for my brother....although it may have something to do with us being twins.
It never gets old *sign*

Although it is funny when I hear someone behind me shout his name a good 7-8 times before they run up to me and realise they "have the wrong one".

When I was younger, I was once mistaken for a girl. Although it was probably because I was still too young to have any facial hair and was with my sister and her bf, both taller than me and in their late teens.

My best friend and I are regularly believed to be brothers. And sometimes mistaken.

I was once mistaken for a Dominican friar. I wasn't even wearing a habit or anything, I have no idea why that person believed me to be clergy.

And among the many "crap, who the hell is this person" embarassing little chats, about 30% of cases end with me never remembering who that person was or even if I'd seen them before, so those might be examples of me being mistaken for someone else.

I was once confused for the guy who plays Edward in Twilight. that was pretty cool, since the girls were damn hot. Still hate Twilight though.

A girl.

It's kinda funny at times, when people refer to me as "lass". Then there was the one time I got hit on by this fat, bald, middle age guy on the tram. Good times...

I have not been mistaken for anyone myself but I am often mistaken for a drug dealer o.o people keep asking to buy drugs from me at terminals... I should wear a wire for the police and get a cash reward...
