Everyone Will Get 20 Free Heroes of The Storm Heroes With 2.0 Launch

Every single player will be able to choose a "mega bundle" of 20 free Heroes of The Storm heroes when the 2.0 patch goes live.

Do you play Heroes of The Storm? Do you like free stuff? Well today is your lucky day, as Blizzard has just announced a promotion that will give every single player a free "mega bundle" of 20 Heroes of The Storm heroes when its upcoming Heroes 2.0 patch [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/169934-Heroes-of-the-Storm-Update-Overhauls-Progression-System] goes live. The best part is that you'll actually be able to choose one of four bundles that best suits your play-style: the Assassin Bundle, the Support & Specialist Bundle, the Tank & Bruiser Bundle, or, if you are a bit of a jack-of-all trades, then the Flex Bundle contains heroes from every role.

Choose wisely, however, as once you have chosen one mega bundle, you won't be able to purchase the others. Here are the heroes contained in each bundle:

The Assassin Bundle contains: Alarak, Chromie, Falstad, Greymane, Gul'dan, Kael'thas, Kerrigan, Li-Ming, Lunara, Nazeebo, Nova, Raynor, Sylvanas, The Butcher, Tracer, Tychus, Valeera, Valla, Zeratul, and Zul'jin.

The Support & Specialist Bundle contains Abathur, Auriel, Brightwing, Chen, Dehaka, E.T.C, Johanna, Kharazim, Li Li, Lt. Morales, Lucio, Malfurion, Medivh, Muradin, Rehgar, Stiches, Tassadar, Tyrael, Uther and Zarya.

The Tank & Bruiser Bundle contains Alarak, Anub'arak, Artanis, Arthas, Chen, Diablo, Dehaka, Illidan, Kharazim, Leoric, Muradin, Ragnaros, Rexxar, Samuro, Sonya, Stiches, Thrall, Varian, Xul and Zarya.

Finally, the Flex Bundle contains Abathur, Arthas, Azmodan, Brightwing, Diablo, E.T.C, Greymane, Johanna, Kerrigan, Li Li, Li-Ming, Lt. Morales, Nazeebo, Rehgar, Rexxar, Sylvanas, The Lost Vikings, Tychus, Varian and Zul'Jin.

As you can see, there is quite a bit of overlap between the four bundles, so either way you'll end up with a very healthy selection of heroes.

Blizzard has stated this promotion will be for a limited time only, but did not specify when exactly it would end.

Would be cool if for each hero you already have in a bundle you could get a skin for it or get one additional hero maybe? Either way, this is a pretty cool thing for them to do to help new comers :)

Wait people actually paid for heroes beforehand?!
Whatever happened to unlocking them?!?
You earned gold from playing matches, and used that to buy heroes for free. Or you put down cold hard credit card info.

Untruths.

"*Limited time offer. Mega Bundles will be available following the launch of Heroes of the Storm 2.0 in your region, lasting until May 22, 2017. All players who log in to Heroes of the Storm during that timeframe will automatically receive 100 Gems, which can be used to permanently unlock one (1) Mega Bundle of their choosing..."

The wording suggests that the gems need not be used on a mega bundle, which seems alright by me - I own all but maybe seven of the characters.
Edit: That said, with the new economy Heroes 2.0 brings, it's absolutely the right call to buy a mega bundle even if you only need one character.

Hm. If I were still into Heroes, I'd take the Tank & Bruiser pack, since it has the most Heroes I don't have and a few I was interested in before I stopped with Blizzard games (namely Alarak, Ragnaros, Varian, Rexxar and Zarya).

Huh. I may actually give the game a shot now. Why not. Always kinda wanted that Overwatch skin you get.

Pretty sure that is long over?
That was an event that ran through December 2016.

So this is awesome. I have most assassins so I should probably get the support bundle. Not sure.

That's pretty cool! Quite the altruistic move by Blizzard. A very generous offer for new and old players alike.

I mean, sure, Valve gave everyone 112 heroes for free from the start, but still....good on ya, Blizzard! You're the shining paragons of the industry.

It's the best moba on the market if you're not a crazy Dota 2 person. I highly recommend it. Least toxic community, too.
