I haven't played it on PC, but on consoles (PS4) it's pretty terrible.
- It has unnecessary letterboxing.
- It runs at 30fps eventhough the graphics are last-gen.
- There's pop-in and clipping issues. One of the more fun ones is that when you're holding a torch while running, the fire trail just clips through your arm.
- Everytime you die there's a load screen, which wouldn't matter too much if not for the fact that death feels extremely unfair.
- The gameplay is an unfocused messy version of The Last of Us. So if you already thought that game's combat was bad, brace yourself.
- The "horror" is so ludicrously banal it could almost be a parody; Dudes with chainsaws, enemies wrapped in barbed wire etc. Seriously, Resident Evil 4 was scarier than this supposed "return to true survival horror roots".
And that's only from the first 2 hours or so of playtime. This games feels shamefully unfinished and cobbled together out of 10-year old horror tropes.
