Seriously though, if it can't be done by the people who actually invented it, Bethesda has to be the best second choice. As for the MMO, it's an interesting idea, but most of the feel of Stalker was that you were pretty much alone the whole time. Even when you interacted with people, it was as a wanderer passing by with no real connection to any of them. I don't see that working very well with the "MM" part of "MMO". I guess we'll have to wait to see what they come up with, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too much.
