What? No steam? Wow, this will be the first retail box purchase for a PC game i'll have done in a long time. And I'll have to order it, since all of my local gamestops stopped stocking PC games.

Why?, it's not because the PS3 sucks or anything, it's because it has always been a Microsoft exclusive, since the first Fable. Also Fable 2 wasn't THAT great, but I have to admit that I had a lot of fun playing it, even if the difficulty is retardedly easy.

According to publisher Microsoft, the PC version will be available at retail alongside the Xbox 360 edition, but if digital distribution is your thing, you'll have to go through Games for Windows Live - no Steam, Direct2Drive, or Impulse for you!

Wow. If Fable II refused PC gamers entry to the club, then Fable III lets them pass, on the condition that they get a kick in the nuts before going in. Nice.

I can't say I'm surprised, though. It's all microsoft, after all.

It seems pretty dumb to me to give PCs Fable III when they don't get Fable II. Hopefully they'll release it at some point.

I'm fairly interested by this myself. Fable 1 was a cute game. As an RPG I don't think it held a candle to its competitors, namely KotOR and Morrowind, but it was refreshing somehow. Here's hoping the port will be decent.

Hm... I don't know. I'm glad its coming out for the PC, and that opens up a wealth of options if there will be mods for it. But to get all that I'll have to deal with Games for Windows Live... and after Fallout 3, I really, really don't want to deal with Games for Windows Live.

If the game is moddable, I may get it on the PC. But if not, its the 360 for me.

I remember with Fallout 3 the script extender basically killed it. Had to move my saves so I could play them without GFWL.

Eventually I just downloaded the mod that removes GFWL, and I'm happy now.
