Well, I did a bunch of Facebook friendlist gutting. Who had I befriended randomly and don't give a shit about? Who isn't close enough to me to deserve stalking distance?

Well, I went from 140 friends down to about 54 and I'm still double checking to see if they deserve accesses to what I put out about myself. Paranoid? No. I just don't like having a home page fucking full of stories I don't give a shit about. My one friend, who I assured I wasn't getting rid of, said I was nuts. He has like 500 people. Does he talk to them everyday? Doubtful although he is on more than me.

Point is: Do you do this? How do you choose who to keep and who to ditch? Do you think having hundreds of friends just for the 'friend' count is just another form of e-penis wagging?

Well, go. Heck, I should check the people I randomly added on here while I'm in the mood.

I never delete or block anyone on Facebook - I'd rather just have them there in case I do need to contact them at some point. Instead, I have several lists with various restrictions, and everyone goes into a friendship list. That way, I can, to an extent, control what each person sees. I've also unsubscribed to around 140 or so of my friends, because, as you say, I also don't like having a news feed clogged up with shit I don't care about.

The sad thing is, I only talk to about 12 people regularly. And I swear I don't keep the rest of these people around for my ego - I've hidden my friends list.

Also, I just wanted to add that your avatar is moving in time to the song I'm listening to. I've been staring at it for the whole 3 minutes and 41 seconds.
