So I was playing some fallout 3 and I had jumped in the Mothership Zeta. Along the way I came to a point were I had to put on a space suit and walk my way to the bridge. however I needed to activate the teleporter to bring all my gang to the up to were I was, only to find it bugged already open, meaning hitting the switch did nothing and the event to trigger my group to come through never came. after loading saves nearly 3 generators back and working my way up to this point I have come to an conclusion. my game is fucked and I'm now stuck on an alien ship forever... FFFUUUUUUUUUUU

tl;dr game glitched me in a room with both doors sealed.

so has anyone else experienced something like this were you have to now start a new game from scratch all because of one stupid glitch (or likewise scripted event that didn't happen).

EDIT: I'm using the Xbox version

Are you using the PC version? Because you can use console commands to fix that.

OT: Not particularly as I usually do several saves for each character, although I have had to ever annoying Lets-Save-Just-Before-I-Die scenario, which is a massive *****.

Fallout 3 - Nah, never really had any problem with it.

Halo 3 - Checkpoint'd me right when I got out of a Hornet right where I was to land in a bottomless gorge. Kept respawning me right above the gorge, falling to my death for eternity...

Well that's what you get for buying Mothership Zeta.

Had you not got the memo? It's so bad it makes your eyes bleed pus & semen.

Off-topic but have you been viewing alot of mind fuck lately?

I've only experienced something like this in FO3 with Mother Ship Zeta. Best (and perhaps only) course of action I've found is to load a save before back on Earth.

I've always been quite lucky regarding glitches in games, like I avoided that recent PoP one where people were getting stuck in that big room near the end where the door was meant to open. Never had a problem with FO3 either. I must be blessed ha.

And finally on ratchet and clank, i started up a new save, got bored, and decided to go onto my old save, on which i had completed the game about 3 times, and unlocked everything.
i pressed "save" instead of "load" by accident.
FFFUUUUUUUU I hate it when that happens. Stupid Muscle Memory.

on oblivion i ate a poisoned apple, and when my health dropped fast, i quickly ran to a bed in the hope that it would save me.
It did not.
It did, however, save the game.
I lost about 15 hours of gameplay, could have been worse, but very annoying.

Also on oblivion, i have 2 achievements left to get 1000/1000, but i need 0 infamy to get them i think, and my main character is on 97, so i need to start a new game and progress through the whole fighters guild.
My character used to have something like 100 infamy, but now he's at zero. If you go on a pilgrimage, I believe that will take away your infamy.
I'm not sure if you have to have knights of the nine installed or not.
Here's the map of the wayshrines: go to each one of them, and activate them.

Similar glitch happened for my friend during the main quest. Liberty Prime refused to walk forward. We even tried on my Xbox and moving his save file, we could never figure out a fix for it.

Aw, sucks for you man. Now I'm a bit worried myself, but I'll make sure to save before going there myself.

It's pretty awful alright, but it's almost worth it for the Novasurge Plasma Pistol.... that thing can take out an albino Radscorpion with 5 shots - beast of a gun.

Then again... after 3 hours of mind numbingly boring space-coridoor shooter, I was almost happy to see a radscorp.

The only problems I've had with Fallout 3 are:

Operation: Anchorage bug with the last guy, resulting in me having to go through the entire thing again.

Travelling across the entire wastes, not discovering locations and not saving and being killed after a few hours of play, causing me to have to load up before I did all of it.

Unquenchable thirst for Nuka Cola... seriously my character has drank hundreds of bottles and I want some...
