Fallout 3 Goes Gold, System Specs Revealed

Awwwsome. My rig is capable and ready to rock some Fallout.

Novajam you seriously don't have the Pentium 4 Equivalent of 2.4Ghz in your rig? What proc are you running now?

I've got a 1.9 Ghz AMD Athlon XP. And my graphics card is a Raedon 9600.

The saving grace is my 2 gigs of RAM. I like to think of it as a turbo on a Volkswagen Polo.

And I wouldn't call it a rig, so much as a... well, I have to press reset three times just to get it to turn on in the mornings. Let's say that much.

I was kind of asking for it. I didn't think anybody would take a post with "Aw, shucks" in it seriously. I just wanted to make it more interesting than "I am glad I am getting Fallout 3 for the Microsoft Xbox 360 home entertainment console."

No, I recognized you were being sarcastic. I was referring to the second half "yeah, go ahead, call me a console-tard", indicating your self depreciating remark was unnecessary because there is nothing wrong with playing a game on console, especially if you can't meet the specs.

My comp should have no problems running the game. Which is great news, cause if I had to upgrade my comp again so soon I'd go buy a console to not go bankrupt. Either way that's one game I'm looking forward to since the ammount of good game releases in the past few months slowed down to nill.

I've got a Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, an 8800GT (512MB)...looks like my computer's about a year away from "need to replace if I want to keep gaming" territory. By then Windows 7 will be out, and if it sucks I'll just quit PC gaming and take up model railroading or something.

looks like if I do get this, I'll be buying the 360 version eventually... haven't had a reason to update my PC in years. Of course, once Diablo III comes out, I might consider getting a new rig, but until then, console versions are fine.
