Fallout 4: When do I start to get Brotherhood of Steel missions?

I've reached the point of the Institute missions where carrying on any further will make the Brotherhood my permanent enemy. I don't want that yet though.

For the Railroad I'm at the point where I've spoken to Patriot.

With the Minutemen I've scanned the Institute network for Sturges and have to hand it in.

As far as I can tell I'm fairly well along in the Institute, Railroad, and Minutemen story paths. Yet the only missions I can get from the Brotherhood are the collection or kill quests, Danse just repeats the same lines without offering anything new after I found the missing squad.

Has the game glitched out or could I have made a choice that blocked the missions. None of the Brotherhood are hostile toward me, so I can't see why I'm not getting any progress for them.

If I remember right, you gotta go to the Pridwyn or however you spell it, and talk to Maxson on the bridge. Although Danse is supposed to have a quest line to take you there, so maybe you are glitched?

You have to be careful though if you want to do as many of the faction quests as you can. I think sometime around the mission that takes place at Bunker Hill (so have some back up saves in case of accidental progress), an Institute quest is added to your list and it will force you into the end of the Brotherhood faction storyline, since the NPC the quest directs you to is also one that gives you some Brotherhood story missions and the Institute quest will take priority...Unless that got patched, but I doubt it.

To start the BoS missions, go to the Cambridge Police Station and listen to the frequency that sent out the first call for help from Danse (Military Signal something), you will hear a new recording telling you to go back to the PS. Talk to Danse and you will start a mission that takes you aboard the Prydwen to meet the actual BoS.

after you exit the building after killing kellog, there should be a dirty great brotherhood airship flying passed. great scene especially at night. turn on the brotherhood radio signal that tells all brotherhood forces to return to the police station go talk to paladin danse and it goes from there

Thanks for the info guys. Sadly the airship has never triggered and using Military Frequency AF95 now gives nothing but static.

I think I am going to have to accept that I'm not going to get to play through the Brotherhood stuff at this time and continue on with the main story.

Problem is I don't see myself playing through the game again for a while once it is complete, it's a bit too much of a timesink. Still at least it is going to be fresh when I do return.

Wait, how did you trigger the Institute infiltration without triggering the arrival of the Brotherhood? You should've had a big ass-scene when leaving Fort Hagan where the Pyrdwen shows up and announces itself.

No idea. I did the Fort mission and nothing showed up, I've seen the videos on Youtube of what should happen but no arrival for me.

I did find the missing Brotherhood patrol member before encountering Danse at the police station and informed him of that straight away after he gave me the mission. Aside from that it's only the kill and collect missions from them.

May spend tomorrow seeing if I can find the airship. Couldn't find it at the airport or above Diamond City.

Sorry I can't recall the mission progression as well as what's already stated here, but I will chime in and say if you do not plan on doing a re-run of this game, try whatever you can to get in on those. For me, the Brotherhood Missions were literally the highlight of the game (other opinions may and surely will vary). Bias probably due to being a Fallout: Tactics fan, but I found the mission, and Private Dancer (sorry, I mean Paladin Danse, it's an old joke) questline to be very good. It seems you are having trouble triggering the Prydwen's arrival, but just see if there's anything else pending, or heck use console commands if anything along those lines seem would help, if of course you are on PC.

I am indeed on the PC. I've been looking into using the console commands to trigger the mission or restart the quest line but finding the questIDs for them is proving somewhat more of a challenge than fighting a Deathclaw.

That's my impression as well.

I think I am just going to continue on with the game for now and when I return to the game for another run, I'm definitely going to rescue Danse and co as early as I can.

So I just googled your issue and some results say to go BACK to Fort Hagen (where you fought Kellog) and go back to the room you fought in. There might be a terminal or something to hack. Do the hack and/or look for an elevator door nearby the room you fought Kellog and ride it to the surface, and THEN the Pridwyn might show up. If it doesn't...well you get your own unique version of the Commonwealth sans the Brotherhood.

See I basically stopped doing actual quests like...50 lvls ago. I've just been flooding the CommonWealth with robots and caravans and building up my empire of settlements. My trade routes look like a massive spider's web.

Well I've encountered another big problem.

I've gotten to the mission 'Rocket's Red Glare' and the Vertibird just flies on non-stop, eventually glitching through the landscape, because the Pridwyn just doesn't exist, the marker for it is off the edge of the map.

Here's a lovely picture of the world from underneath.

Oh sweet lord thats an evil glitch. If you're playing on pc there are a series of console commands that could fix glitched missions. Googling what you need should make finding them easy enough.

...but if you're playing on console

I am playing on PC and have finally managed to make the Pridwyn appear. I reloaded the save on top of the Police Station roof and fast travelled to Fort Hagen. Went through the building and out the door on the roof. Did that several times, using fast travel to get back in front of the Fort, before the scene of the airship arriving finally triggered.

Since I wanted to experience the Brotherhood missions I loaded a save before Mass Fusion and repeated the process once again. Must have taken 25 times in total to get the damn thing to show this time.

I was able to find the console commands to reset a mission but not the QuestId needed to actually do it, so this was the only way I could get it to work.
