Fallout new vegas,, a bug?

I was in the penthouse where mr house is, Victor the securitron that saves you, he is there as well. when you break into Mr. house's antechamber to get to the elevator he goes hostile and your forced to kill him. when I got back to goodsprings, he is there, in front of his shack, but his screen is black. A messages appears and says something about his Artificial intelligence is offline.

Is this a bug or did victor come back from the dead

No you kill'ed the program "Victor" but he has many bodies all over the world.

I don't know about Victor, but Yes Man (another securitron) tells you, if you kill him, that his program is part of every securitron, so just killing the "shell" doesn't do anything permanent as the code is just transferred to another one, he'll be back 8)
Haven't killed Victor yet, but maybe it's the same with him.
