Fallout: New Vegas: The kings gambit glitch for xbox 360.

Ok,so i read the Vault walkthrough for this quest,and one option was to use a plasma mine to kill pacer by putting it into his pocket,not making the kings aggresive cause it accuses the Van Graffs.I did this,and as i left,the kings went aggresive and I had to brutally murder them all 3) Then i paid for my rep to go from vilified to sneering punk at the Atomic Wrangler.Then i apparenlty failed the quest cause the Kings were up in arms.What Kings? I did what the quest log said....Im still mixed with the NCR,so i guess its ok...

Anyone ever had this glitch?

It's not a glitch [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/King%27s_Gambit]. You can't kill Pacer publicly, as it makes the Kings (a faction based in Freeside of which Pacer is a member) turn against you. There are actually quite a few ways to complete the quest. Follow the link if you want to see. Beware of spoilers.
