Fallout fever is in full swing ahead of Fallout 4's November 10 release date, to the point where we are getting not just one [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/161137-Fallout-Inspired-Beer-Hits-Amazon-UK-Store] but two Fallout-themed beverages as part of its promotion. If the Fallout beer from Carlsberg UK isn't your style, you'll soon be able to pick up a Nuka Cola Quantum from your local Target.

Jones Soda Co. [http://www.jonessoda.com/beverages.html] has teamed up with Bethesda to bring the infamous in-game soda into the real world for a limited time only. The Fallout-inspired soda, which glows blue just line it's in-game counterpart, will be available exclusively at Target from November 10.

As for the taste? Going from Jones's website, it looks like the Nuka Cola Quantum is simply a repackaged berry lemonade [http://www.jonessoda.com/beverages/12-pack-of-berry-lemonade-jones-pure-cane-soda.html], although we could be wrong.

Honestly, I'd like to try the beer, I'm not familiar with Carlsburg and I do like the occasional pilsner lager.

I happen to work at Target and will probably try it, if my store gets it. Haven't had a Jones Soda in close to a decade, so I'll treat myself.

Now that is so much more my style. Of course that ends up being the one that's America-exclusive. Meanwhile, we get what I can only assume is what Fallout's famous "Beer" beer tastes like.

To be honest, though, that's a pretty underwhelming bottle design. Maybe it's packaged differently in FO4 than it was in Fallout 3, or maybe they were afraid of getting legal action against them from Coca-Cola for copying their bottle mold.

Either way I reserve the tight to use the ":/" emoticon.

So we might get it. Now that is something good, but...

...It has to be stocked in the hellhole (okay, it wasn't that bad) I worked in for years. Only if they also had it in Coles or Woolworths.
Still, if it is for something Fallout related, I don't mind going back there.

Yeah, Jones Berry Lemonade was basically already Quantum in Jones packaging. Just backlight it right and presto, Nuka Quantum.

Oh and for all who are wondering how it tastes... pretty damn good. Jones sodas are usually good (although not the one-off specials like turkey and gravy soda for Thanksgiving) and Berry Lemonade is the best of the bunch. Even though it's a total hipster dick-move to mix top shelf booze with soda... Berry Lemonade and Bombay Sapphire is as beautiful as it is tasty.
