I guess the Wii isn't family friendly anymore, you know...since Wii owners will be forced at gunpoint to buy this particular game.

P.S. Where were they when Manhunt 2 came out for Wii?

Don't blame 'em.
The concept (if it can even be called that) of senseless, brutal violence is just fucking retarded.
I wouldn't want to see MW on any console.

But they should be reminded that video games are mostly directed at mature audiences.

Ah, nothing like more articles that just prove that parents these days are useless gits who never should have had kids in the first place. Damn shame we can't force people to take a test and get sterilized if they fail (Idiocracy here we come!).

Solution to this easy, just don't by the game you fucking twats. Also, I'm fairly sure that "family" also contains people that aren't aged 9 or 90 and actually DO want to cut people in half with a chainsaw, yanno, like the parents may be want to do after having to deal with their shithead kids.

i am just glad that they are not blaming the game for anything and just telling parents to be responsible as they should be, isnt that what we fight for? to get people to understand that it is the parents responsibility to monitor what they're kids are playing instead of blaming the industry for not doing the parent's job.

Wow, its really sad that people are that dumb. "If there is a violent game for the console I bought it will turn evil....... and eat my children. It's all Nintendo's fault!"

Oh, you're saying that ONLY family appropraite games are allowed on Wii? Seriously, this game is rated Mature for a reason. And you don't have to buy it. Finally a game that appeals to the other side of the Wii owners, and yet the game gets "chastised"

Haha, this is funny.

the outside-inside view of the video game buissnes will always be one of my favorite examples of iggnorance.

i know parents probably cant spend the time to, but it would be nice if they learned a bit about the video game world.

You mean LIKE YOU SHOULD BE DOING ANYWAY?
But that's toooo haaaaard! How are parents supposed to waste their hours staring at TV, watching American Idol or finding out who the latest celebrity baby-daddy is, if they have to pay attention to what their children are doing?! Just outlaw everything that could be a problem instead!

Walsh continued by saying that the NIMF "hopes that Nintendo does not lose sight of its initial audience and continues to offer quality, family-friendly games."
...Nintendo's initial audience are in their 30's and 40's by now. I'm sure they're old enough to play violent games...

...Depressing and stupid.

I don't even know what to make of this. How come there's always people who have been living under a rock for several years, who think this is the first time this has happened?

Since when is "oh, he's playing A NINTENDO, it's obviously a "family friendly" game" the viewpoint of parents?

If they feel the need to monitor what their kids are playing, they shouldn't be cutting corners with easy-mode anyway. Besides, they should know that Nintendo is releasing plenty of titles this year that are so family friendly it makes me want to hurl. However, this is the one getting attention by a certain kind of gamer, and therefore the one people are hearing about...thereby encouraging more blatant stupidity on the part of adults "looking out for their kids."

Well I guess you can't make everyone happy... I just think they shouldn't release this game because it has no colour, besides the blood, which makes the game unplayable.

I don't see the problem.
The wii becomes less family friendly because there's a violent game, therefore the tv is already non-family-friendly because theres violent movies and porn, therefore the people who has a problem with kids having acces to violence and porn have no TV, and a violent game for the wii is not a problem when you don't have a tv to connect it to. A violent game without a tv is as harmless as the lates issue of "tranny-grannys gang-rapes donkeys magazine" is to a blind person.

The paranoia about violence is out of control. Live a life, you obsessive bastards, the Wii has far worse. Mortal Kombat and No More Heroes are just a couple of M rated games that have not destroyed the console, or this"family image". Leave it alone, and it might fly by unbeknownst to anyone. The more they *****, the more famous it gets. You would think they would have learned by now...
