Ok, I had an idea, but I can't run it myself, cos I'm busy with Masada. So what I thought I'd do is open it up to another GM, and maybe stay on as co-GM.
This story is designed to be an epic tale of fantasy daring. The age is that of heroes, and the land is an unspecified place where the greatest of men forge the world around them.
One of these men, Varden, has found a short-cut to glory and power; he has summoned up the giants, and bid them raise him a citadel beyond the means of men, a fortress from which none of his rivals could touch him. The giants accepted the challenge, but asked one thing; that Varden be in their debt, and when they next came to him, he yield them a payment fit for such a great gift. Warden accepted, sure in the knowledge that his power over other men would give him the means to reward the giants how they willed.
To his credit, Varden ruled well. Once his rivals were cast down, he ruled well where he could, though his mind was oft on higher things, and within his kingdom there arose evildoers, who profited from their lords upward gaze. Nonetheless, Varden did not deserve what fate had for him, for when the giants returned, they asked for one, simple thing, and they would not be persuaded; they wanted Varden's only child, the beautiful Esmeralda.
Every legend has a beautiful maiden, who very glance is enough to melt hearts, and whose grace is beyond even the words of poet. Esmeralda was Varden's pride and joy, even above his kingdom, and he could not bare to be parted from her. He offered the giants his kingdoms, but they wanted only her, for they too were enraptured by her beauty. Varden argued and wheedled, dissembling and procrastinating, searching for something to offer the giants that would sway them from their desire.
And so he held them for seven years, for the giants are patient things, so close they are to the rocks and stones. But while he was holed up in his vast fortress, a new power had arisen; am man known as Atavist had risen, forcing his way into the realms of both Varden and the giants. His advance was powered by a simple thing; an ancient artefact, thought lost or even merely story that he had found in the depths of his lair beneath the mountains. Varden felt only fear, but he giants, aged as they are like the very bones of the world, knew more, and they desired this thing that fuelled Atavist's conquest. Indeed, even as they feared its power, they desired it even more than they desired Esmeralda.
In this, Varden saw his chance; he summoned his greatest heroes, and gave them a simple task; fetch this thing of power, whatever it may be, and bring it to me, that I may placate the giants.
This is the players quest; to hunt a man possessed of enough power to make even the giants wary, and take his magic from him, by any means necessary
Name: Obvious, though being a great hero you are likely to have a title
Age: Not too young, but not too old
Appearance: Describe yourself. Detail is nice
Weapon: What do you wield? Is it magic? What does it do?
Bio: Short biography, you know the drill
Notable action: Every hero features in legends; what stories are told of you?

This has been written quickly, and will hopefully benefit form the input of the GM. In the meantime, please comment on what you think this could use.
If you would like to be a GM, please mention so on the thread; though bear in mind I want to be able to trust whoever I give this over to
With regard to classes there aren't any; you're all heroes who are all awesome to the point of being superhuman. The main problem is that the guy you're trying to catch will be even more awesome.
For example, you will be expected to effortlessly maul legions of mooks, survive magical assaults and have buildings fall on you to little effect. Unfortunately Atavist will be the sort of guy who shrugs of clouds of arrows, massive fireballs, theoretically fatal impalings and small mountains.
