The problem was cash. FFG were undercapitalized and couldn't afford big print runs. The purchase by Asmodee should solve those problemsViper114 said:"Advanced distribution and production chain"? While I love a lot of the stuff FFG produces, namely their LCGs and RPGs along with numerous board games, they are notorious for their small print runs of practically everything, especially core sets, and long wait times between print runs to get stuff back on the shelves. And I know this since I work for a board game store.
If anything, I hope having been bought out by Asmodee does the opposite and gives FFG access to better and quicker printers!
This is completely true. FFG *does* have an incredibly advanced prod & distro, especially for prototyping and quality control, but it's really really expensive - Asmodee's millions should help.albino boo said:The problem was cash.
