Fast & Furious? More Like Slow and Busted

So you guys remember that Vin Disel and Michelle Rodriguez announced a new Fast & Furious game at the game awards last year?

No?

Yeah me neither. And apparently nobody else did because not only is the game now available. But there are ZERO reviews on Metacritic, and only like one or two reviews on Youtube.

So guess what I did today? I bought it. Then I promptly refunded it because......wow.

Let me sum this pile of garbage up for you all in the simplest terms. Fast & Furious Crossroads is a shitty Burnout game, with a Fast & Furious story painted over it. The acting is trash, the story is trash, and the game plays like ass.

First off you can't use a keyboard and mouse on PC. It forces you to use a Gamepad which is fine because it's a driving game. But the fact that you couldn't even try on a keyboard is damning.

Secondly you cannot change the camera angle. So if you don't like the camera shoved against your car's ass, then sucks for you because there are no camera angles to be changed.

Thirdly the car's handle like you are driving on ice. The slightest tap on the stick can send you across the damn road, during events with many twists and turns you are going to find yourself faceplanting the walls in all but the gentlest of curves.

Finally there is a big competitive multiplayer mode, that at time of writing, has not enough players playing to even give it a try.

So this is a big BIG 2/10 from me. And for SURE is the worst game of the year imo.

I do, and I alredy knew it would be shit from the first reveal trailer. The arcade is more fun than this. If anyone wants a F&F game, Need for Speed has been doing that since Need for Speed: Underground. Even the bad NFS games from last gen and this gen are better than this game. Fast & Furious ended for me at 7. Every film that has come out afterward is glorified fanfiction.

Trust me, with those half-asses graphics that look like an early 2005, low budget 360 game rushed out. Even the average gamer could tell something was not right from the first reveal.

More than just accountable. I want whoever is in charge at Bamco to get a giant boot to the groin and do 10 flips afterwards. The fact this game has the word crossroads in it is double insulting. They've besmirch the name crossroads, as that word's best use was in Bone Thugs N Harmony's song "Crossroads".

OT: Saw Angry Joe's review of this one. I have a lot of complicated feelings about the guy, but his reviews of obviously-bad games are still usually fun to watch, and this one was really obviously bad. He even gave it the same 2/10 score, yay for synchronicity.

I stopped watching him 2016. His content got worse, most of the new guys with him were not fun and adding nothing to the movie reviews, and Joe's assholery kept getting worse. Plus, his reviews got way too long and felt padded with him unnecisarily ranting about things not that bad or barely a problem. The only ex-Channel Awesome people I watch are Bennett and Linkara.

Admittedly I have no real opinion on the franchise having never seen any of the films but I generally like this guys videos and apparently he's playing this from a position of a fan. He was baffled by how badly this was all handled.
