The Kusarigama. Kickass.
Untill you slash your ears off.

I'd have to go with a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_hammer (Fire Meteor especially, can you imagine it? You can't block it, you MUSTN'T SLASH IT, and you MUST avoid it).

Or, in a close combat fight, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_section_staff . Too bad this weapon can't be used as a bo staff, unlike many fictional version of it.

Meh, since i practice with a series of weapons i can't pick a favourite, but i do like my Bokken, Shoto, Nuchuks and Tonfa and improvised staff. I think i prefer the Bokken.(Wooden sword, in the shape of a Katana)

THE GUN, what? it counts as martial arts if I use it to pistol whip them before shooting them.

The locally known Arnis. You people know it as Kali sticks.

The black-striped ones in particular.

Hands. Seriously the most versatile weapons I can think of. You can both kill and subdue with them, paralyze opponents, the list goes on.

Basically any weapon from that island in Japan that fought with improvised farm implements.

I'm pretty Tonfas and Nunchucks come from there - as well as a range of other weapons.

I think it's called Kabuto, or something like that.

nodachi sword ( a 6 ft katana), or yin-yang sais ( where the gaurd goes up on one side and down on the other)

I agree, Kamas are awesome
either them, nunchuks, or a meteor hammer

My favorites are the whips:
either the Chinese chain style or they old fashioned leather done in Sayoc style.
Those are the most graceful and hypnotic weapons of all time.

I bought a katana last weekend. Though its not a conventional one. I love how the blade is about 2 inches wide, really gives it a nice heft. I feel I could chop anything in half with his streched out butcher knife!
