Octopi are the coolest creatures ever. I mean it.

Look them up on Youtube. They can camouflage to their surroundings, mimic more dangerous animals, squirt jets of water at attacking birds, shoot ink jets at offending animals, suck their prey into an inescapable vortex-chamber until they're crushed in their mouths, use their long tentacles to go into extremely intricate cracks and crevices, and can dig holes to hide in.

All they need to be is sentient and we wouldn't be able to cross water safely.

Now, if we're talking about CUTEST animals, sea otter kinda takes the cake unequivocally.

I thought "Mole Mola" were called ocean sunfish.

Title says it all.

Mine is the colossal squid, and it shouldn't be hard to figure out why.

One reason is because, unlike giant squids, colossal squid tentacles are lined with hooks rather than suction cups. These hooks can rotate 360 degrees. So the colossal squid can dig these hooks into your flesh, and then the hooks could rotate, cutting up your internal organs.

I'll take your squid and raise you a sperm whale.

I fucking hate sperm whales.

At least most of them wash up dead after fights with colossal squid.

Many sperm whales carry scars on their backs believed to be caused by the hooks of Colossal Squid. Colossal Squid are a major prey item for Antarctic sperm whales feeding in the Southern Ocean; 14% of the squid beaks found in the stomachs of these sperm whales are those of the Colossal Squid, which indicates that Colossal Squid make up 77% of the biomass consumed by these whales.
