Speaking of headcrab zombies does anyone know why they get yellow blood or grow elongated fingers and a mouth in their torso?
Fingers= ribs, I think
Mouth= are you sure it's not just a ripped abdomen? with guts and stuff hanging out?
How?

No, but it looks like it has teeth and a throat.

Additionally, I'm sick of people calling the Flood a headcrab ripoff. Since the first "space zombie" almost all have been based on parasitic infection. Headcrabs are dumb animals that couple with a host for food, the Flood is an intelligent hivemind that gets hosts for resources (calcium) and to engage in combat to get more resources to eventually build more powerful combat forms and to increase the strength of it's central intelligence.

Similar, yes.

Ripoff, hell no.

Dead Rising is just flat out fun, that would have to be my vote. Along that front though I'm really excited for left 4 dead. I love coop games and this one is going to take advantage of full 4 player coop and just let you blast zombies. Now what else can you ask for.

Infection forms = headcrabs. There's no denying that no matter how much Gravemind's philosophy differs the Combine. And headcrabs wanting food while the flood want calcium is pretty much completely the same thing.

It's hard for me to pick just one since there are quite a few good ones. If I had to pick though would have to say my favorte was the Flood from Halo 1. The Library in paticular was a very scary and difficult level. Plus the game was a first person shooter so I got to fight the "Zombies" (or more frequently run away very fast) in a fast paced FPS style. Though I have to say Left 4 Dead will probably be my new favorite when it comes out.

I really loved Resident Evil 4 and its still one of my favorite games of all time. The first three (and Code Veronica) were cool and scary and all (scarring my 9 year old self when I saw the first played by my friend's father) but the controls were to shit for me to ever really play for myself.

Dead Rising so far is the closest thing to the perfect zombie game I've ever played. I'm also excited for Left 4 Dead. But really, if a zombie game could be made, it would be one along the lines of a combination RTS/FPS where it was more about surviving for a long period of time and eventually overcoming a realistic outbreak rather than being an over-weight photojournalist trapped in a mall with a bunch of crazies.

Sounds like an intresting game. However, my version of a perfect Zombie game would be along the lines of Call of Duty: Zombie Warfare. Call of Duty 4 type gameplay, Left 4 Dead type Zombies. (I just don't think slow Zombies would work in a military shooter)

RE4, Dead Rising, and some random isometric survival game i think was called zombie crisis z. Land of the dead road to fiddlers green is a fun game albeit EXTREMELY rare and the only good thing to come of groove games's sad, sad existence.

I own Fiddler's Green, and I liked it, but it was a like in the way that I like a kid who tries real hard to play a sport despited a glaring disability.

I mean, it was fun, and killing zombies was great. But it was a pretty shitty set up. Though a fire-axe has never been so useful in a FPS.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours! Not strictly a zombie game but I think it should count.

"Zombies Ate My Neighbors" all the way. Love the old-school games.

I will probably like left 4 dead when it is released but as for already released games I have to go with dead rising and a flash game series called the last stand
