favourite arcade game

Here I'm talking about normal arcade games you know the ones you find on you'r holidays and have to put money in to play them. So what I'm asking is whenever you go to one of these arcade stores what is the one game you always find yourself playing.

mine would be house of the dead series yes I know the voice acting is awful but I enjoy it.

Also for anyone who prefers the retro style of arcade games and can't think of any good modern ones then feel free to name some of your favourite older ones instead. I.e like pac man or something.

Time Crisis is my favorite game to play in arcades. Before that it was Area 51, since it was also the first arcade game I ever beat (without going broke ).

I'd say Time Crisis 4 and House of the Dead 4 at the minute because I don't have the home versions and I enjoy shooting at things. Star Wars Trilogy Arcade is great apart from the joystick being awkward when aiming at the sides of the screen.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The original arcade game with 4 player coop.

I loved this machine when I was young and I still do. 4-player coop is awesome, specially when you gang up on bosses. The Arcade version was superior to any console version. The NES version was a cruel joke.

Mortal Kombat II

I shoved so many quarters into this machine, probably Street Fighter II perceeding it.
I played this thing on a massive 30 inch screen back in the day. It was really awesome.

Supr Street Fighter II Turbo

Probably the best incarnation of the SF2-series. It had everything, extrac haracter, hyper moves, secret bosses etc. This is in my humble opinion the best version of the Street Fighter 2 series.

Neo Geo MVS Cabinet

These little wonders had 4 Neo Geo games in them and you could switch to whichever game you wanted to play before jamming a quarter in the slot. They were quite common where I lived and I loved the games on them. Fatal Fury, Metal Slug, King of Fighters, you name it.

Pinball. I love pinball. Favourite table ever was the Lethal Weapon table, but I have fond memories of one particular star wars table I managed to get some ridiculous score on in a tournament.

Time Crisis, definitely, or Virtua Cop. Although to be honest House of the Dead 4 is my overall favourite

Come on though, an arcade zombie shooter with grenades. What's not to like?
