Good thing I don't buy Final Fantasy games anymore. Not even because XIII I just stopped buying them.

quick edit. Square Enix didn't register it directly but someone who makes regular deals with Square Enix for domain names did. Doesn't change much but just saying if you didn't read any of those articles.

Well from what I've heard 13 didn't end on a cliffhanger the director just got a case of pansyitis and thought lightning didn't get a happy ending. So now we have XIII-2.

That's a very damn good question.

My guess is it's probably gonna be released after XIII-2, or perhaps even XIII-3 now that that domain is there, maybe it has to deal with the story after the fact...?

From what I understand FFXIII did sell really well but considering XIII-2 isn't out yet can't say without human sacrifice for the ritual to see into a company's financial future. Also I too wonder why they won't do anything with Verses XIII.

I hear a lot of people say that. But how would you feel if the next 27 hours were exactly the same as that 3 "enjoyable" hours? Cause that's what it is. A 30 hour, straight line tutorial until you finally get to Pulse. Which really isn't worth the 30 hour wait.

Couple that with unlikable characters, a "wtf is going on?" storyline that is only explained properly in the mountain of information heaped into the database encyclopedia (which is long and boring to read), and horrible english voice dubs with no option for japanese voice overs.... yeah. You get the idea of why people dislike the game.

Also what's the deal the that horrible L'cie, Fal'cie etc. bullcrap. It got SO annoying to listen to after awhile.

Yeah, I'm finding myself hoping this was some sort of error and they'll soon be ditching this domain to register one for KH 3. It's only been five years since the last proper title in the franchise (though, admittedly, I felt Birth By Sleep was the most satisfying KH game to come out since the original).

So come on, Square. You're a monolith of a company. Surely there's SOME division you have that can get the ball rolling on this. Kingdom Hearts has consistently been successful and positively reviewed, while the consensus on your last Final Fantasy games is that they are total shit. Your money would be better spent maintaining your stable fleet rather than trying bail out a sinking one.

Sadly, Nomura's team deals with the main series, and he said KH3 wouldn't be worked on until Versus XIII, so we'll have to wait a long time :C

Someone else on Blistered Thumbs had the same theory with the domain protection but no one really knows aside from them. Unfortunally XIII-2 is messing with versus's production. They don't have any actual amount to start doing anything with so right now Versus isn't having anything done on it because all the people are doing something else. Seriously sucks.

Oh I agree totally I love the KH series but I do not care for birth by sleep one bit. It would have had so much better controls on a console rather than the psp but while it controls as good as it could on the haldheld it could have been better. I'm hoping it's going to be one of those titles that makes use of the Vita's second analog stick. Though I want an actual sequel on a console. But no apparently the follow up to KH2 is supposed to be the 3DS game coming out. Square Enix could not be making worse desisions now if they hired someone to bash their head against a wall for 10 minutes then decide what their next game should be. Huh that might describe this situation actually.

It is more like 15 hours, though it is a chore.
After that it is ok and I had fun with it - btw the only unlikeable character in my opinion was Hope and the english voice acting was decent/good for most characters but it could have been better for such a game.

But as some others already said I just hope they don't do a cliffhanger ending in XIII-2 so that you have to play XIII-3 for a conclusion (if they really plan to do a third game).
