All that boring, uninteresting gameplay of turnbased combat finally got to them after so many games.
Actually, Metacritic likes the XBox 360 version by 1 point. (And typing that might have been a bad idea)scotth266 said:Okay, so what are you going on about? I see no differences major enough to care about in that comparison video.Treblaine said:Well funny you should say that because the experts have taken a look and applied SCIENCE... and yeah the Xbox 360 version is a bag of bollocks compared to the PS3 version, the analogy "looks like it's done with crayons" may not be literally true but it is a fitting analogy:

Oh, and if you're going to claim that "well, these are all small-time people", Gamespot agrees [http://www.gamespot.com/events/microsoftx10/story.html?sid=6248500&tag=newsfeatures;title;3] that the difference is minimal.
Oh, and the Metacritic rating [http://www.metacritic.com/search/process?sort=relevance&termtype=all&ts=final+fantasy+XIII&ty=0&button=search] on both versions is EXACTLY EQUAL.
And just how is it terribly worse?Belladonnah said:It could also be that the x360 version is terribly worse than the PS3 version. And that the PS3 version could have been even better if they didn't have to reduce the quality of the game for it to support x360, which ended up with a worse version anyway, so what's the point.
Exactly what I thought. it went something like this:scotth266 said:Okay, so what are you going on about? God, this thread gave me a headache. John Funk makes an uninformed newspost, then 5000 sheep come and post "BURN THE FANBOYS" like they have any idea what the fans are angry about.Brotherofwill said:Amen to that. I feel their pain. The transition to multiplat hasn't exactly been easy on FF. I think the booing was rather funny, justified or not. Poor announcer guy.Julianking93 said:It's true.Latinidiot said:are they perhaps booing because they believe FF has been dimmed down for the 360, something I still don't know is true or not?
It has to do with the whole final fantasy (at least since VII anyways) belongs to Sony's console thing. Then there's the thing about the graphics as a lot of people think that having it on the 360 also caused the graphics to be lesser than what they believe they could be. I don't know, I'll be happy when I go to the games store in a bit and pick it up for my 360 'cause then I won't have to buy a PS3 as that to me would be like buying a $300 peripheral to play a game.Random Argument Man said:Sheesh, that gives a bad reputation to Final Fantasy fans. What's wrong with the idea of the 360?
Kinda. In terms of character it certainly has. All the party characters are involved this time, and whilst I quite liked the perspective of an uninvolved observer swept along for the ride, which was what Vaan and Penelo were in XII, I have to admit that as of 20 hours in the cast of FFXIII is much stronger. Even Snow is growing on me, and I thought he was a pillock at the start.SmartIdiot said:Though I'd like to think FF13 learned from the mistakes of 12.
I think FF12 was actually a much better game that FF13, so I have no idea what you're talking about.SmartIdiot said:Though I'd like to think FF13 learned from the mistakes of 12.
I can't tell if you're trying to troll or not.SlasherX said:Why Can't We Be Friends stupid PS3 fanboys you lost the 360 is better, much much better
I lol'd.Cliff_m85 said:Me as the announcer: "Really? Ok, fuck it. It's mine!"

Or even better, the idiots who go into threads full of said idiots and call them idiots.WanderFreak said:I don't know what's funnier.
- The idiots booing a console.
- The idiots booing the idiots booing (first person to point of the hypocritical nature of this statement wins the coveted I Lack Brain Award)
- The idiots telling people to lighten up, wondering if they always take to the internet. By taking to the internet and telling people to lighten up.
It's like The Perfect Storm of fanboy idiocy and sheer stupidity perfectly encapsulated in thread form.
This is a rare thing folks. We must treasure this moment.
Let's not forget that if it wasn't for Sony SE wouldn't even be around after the Spirits Within fiasco. Granted Sony never forced SE to an exclusivity deal for backing them, but to say SE owes nothing to Sony is total crap.Goombanator said:Wasnt Halo the other way around? Bungie started as part of microsoft studios then became a third party. In other news- Retards boo the 360 at an event. Fuck em' SE owes nothing to Sony, and probably has made more money from FF11 on 360 subs than It has from Sony in recent years. I have both consoles and even though its a better game on ps3 (one disc and better res FMV's) I bought the 360 version because I will always get multiplatform games for 360 regardless.
I never pay attention to comparisons between platforms myself, unless there's a critical difference. There isn't here, and hasn't been in most cases, regardless of which way people swung on the issue. Therefore I am calling him out for calling the 360 version a bad one.Mornelithe said:You know, complaining about comparisons NOW after they've been doing them routinely for every multi-platform game that's come out this gen, seems a bit ironic.scotth266 said:Okay, so what are you going on about? ...
It was fine for the PS3's scores to suffer for the past 3 years, but once the tables start to turn, we'll just redefine categories of rating games? Sounds like sour grapes to me, honestly.
