Why so many emotional people, yeah, so some people booed, and what? How is that detrimental to your life and your console? If they are booing because they dislike 360, no amount of calling them fanboys or maoning about it will change thier opinion anyway.
They could in fact be moaning about the dubbed down version, lighten up, giggle a bit, move on, yikes. Can't even boo now :/
This is what I was trying to say.
Seems like 95% of the responses to this event don't take that into account.
"OMG THEY HAVE A OPINION! Fuck these fanboys!"
Just seems to be like they have been reading up on what happened to get the game on the 360 and feel that they were cheated so that a market that isn't even popularly known for playing RPG's might dabble.
As I said before, Every year the GOTY (to my knowledge) ends up being a FPS on the 360. Unless Final Fantasy has a lot of shooting in it I don't see why they marketed on the 360.
I have no hate for the 360 (I just don't use mine) but the whole marketing move seemed odd.
If both consoles were on par in terms of power (like back when Soul Calibur ended up on all 3) it wouldn't have been very dramatic. Plus at that time the game was something all 3 console owners likely would have played.
Meh. What can you do.
It is getting difficult these days to keep track of what you can safely not like (Atkinson) and what you must like (apparently multiplatform game production). There should probably be a thread started to chronicle all the things so every person has a quick reference.
We could make them into little pocketbooks and sell them for a few bucks. End up making millions.

I really don't understand why people are getting so mad about Final Fantasy XIII being multi-platform.
If they don't like the x-box version than they can buy the PS3 version. It isn't like it is only exclusive to the 360, it is on the PS3 as well.
The more people you can get to like the series the better. I would love it if Bioware ported Mass Effect 1 and 2 to the PS3. They are awesome games that should be able to be played by everybody, not just owners of one console.
I think you are comparing apples to oranges.
Upconverting (porting to something with more power) gives you room to grow and no necessity to limit yourself. Downconverting (porting to something with less power) reduces your room to grow and given time constraints for development usually degrades the final product.
I love my DS but basically every game for a console that was ported to it was terrible. By contrast a few games that were for it and ported to consoles ended up being quite enjoyable.
I like when people give me an upgrade and choices I don't like when people give me a downgrade and choices.
No reason to have bland crackers that everyone likes when you could have delicious crackers that only some people like. Why? Because other companies can make crackers for the other people. Now you suddenly have everyone getting something they love and multiple companies succeeding and all their employees getting paid. You have competition and...well...tons of crackers.
I'm a fan of diversity in games not so much a fan of diversity in console ports. Sort of like when things get ported back and forth from PC to consoles. Something gets lost in translation that stings really bad.
