TV ads in the uk which only acknowledge the 360, almost as if its an xbox exclusive.
I think those are microsofts ads, which if they are conveying it is for xbox 360 only, makes sense in commerical terms.
Well, you have to admit such is enough to give Ps3 fans a reason to be angry. Microsoft is really the one starting the flames here, so it's no surprise people are acting like retards because of it. If they didn't fix the commercials in their favor, they wouldn't have gotten so much hate.

Don't really care if it's business or not. They set themselves up, so it's their fault. :p

Wow ... I'd be stoked to receive a free 360 with FFXIII ... even tho I have it for the PS3 ... seriously ... I am starting to hate fan boys ... hey I know what I'll do ... I will put my PS3, 360, and Wii together in a field of flowers having a damn tea party! Caption underneath will be "Why can't we be friends?" or something amongst those lines!

It's the most hilarious video I've seen in a week. I must admit I've also been confounded by the fact that all the FF XIII commercials I've seen have been 360 related. Did Sony think the game would do well enough on the PS3 to not invest any money in commercials or any ads whatsoever? I have heard that the reason the U.S. didn't get collectors edition disks was because Square-Enix devoted all their energy (and money) to the 360 bundle. Sony needs to step up if they want to get their exclusives back.

Fanboys exist to throw my reasonable, charming and 360/PS3 owning self into sharp relief. True story and I thank you.

Yeah I noticed one on the TV here in Australia. Good strategy by Microsoft. Couldn't give a wet slap personally.

Still anyone who knows what Final Fantasy is all about would already know it's multi-platform. I can hardly see it appealing to the casual crowd other than the fact it features brightly coloured animals and asexual Japanese teens.

You guys don't seem to realize that most of them probably aren't booing to support the PS3. I don't think any of them would mind if FF13 got a PS2-level port to Wii or a PC port. They just hate the 360, and for good reason considering the impact it and the Xbox have had on gaming as a whole. The truly sad part is these are probably the same people that associate Final Fantasy with Sony, when all the best games were on Nintendo systems.

Still, you're falling into the same fallacy a lot of multi-platform supporters do: that everyone either lives in a vacuum, or appreciates your company. FF on 360 means we have to put up with 360 players having a say in where the series heads (when I say we, keep in mind I think Square died in '98, everything they make now is garbage, 12 excluded, but it's still better than generic FPS #6792), listening to them undoubtedly try to claim yet another series as "theirs" and how it should be more like whatever crappy fad is in now because god forbid anyone try and keep an old genre alive.

I may not care for Square anymore but goddamn you 360 fanboys are devouring everything. Can't get a decent FPS on PC with a respectable player limit, controls, or features, can't find a single game worth playing on Wii that isn't a first-party Nintendo title, have to have your creativity-killing achievement system spreading its plague onto my PS3, every forum I go to it's pathetic spineless ezmode babies whining about competition and getting butthurt because their fragile egos can spend all day pretending to be "hard" like some cyber-neanderthal, but they can't be exposed to anyone that actually gives an honest effort at improving their skills or their bloated sacks of testosterone might fall off.

The 360 has done NOTHING to improve gaming imho. LIVE is unintuitive, intrusive, and not even free. Achievements have ruined the fun of coming up with personal challenges and becoming a mini-celebrity for completing them, now you're given a list of chores and told exactly how many other people have also done them, most of whom never would've bothered if they didn't give meaningless "points" so people who don't have the balls to place high on a leaderboard don't have to be left out of the alpha male sausagefest. Your controllers will NEVER be a respectable FPS or RTS control method until you swap out the right analog stick for a trackball. You can have a preference, but your opinion does not override fact. Mice are capable of both more speed AND more precision. This does not making them take less skill, because you are not the only one using a mice. Skill on 360 has a hard cap set by the hardware, you cannot surpass the limits of the plastic ring around your analog stick no matter how much skill you have. There is no limit on a mouse's range of motion. You also claim it's easier to hit buttons on a controller, but only the 4 shoulder buttons can be pressed without taking a thumb off one of the sticks. Even if you adopt some bizarre claw-hold where you can hit every button, there are only 15, counting the D-Pad. Anyone with a decent level of finger dexterity has 19 different keys within range of their left hand WITHOUT taking two fingers off WASD. Three more on the mouse if you have a good one with buttons on the side for your thumb. Granted, controllers are superior for some genres, like platforming, puzzles, jRPGs, or action games like DMC and Bayonetta, but that doesn't really help your case when MORE THAN HALF OF ALL NOTEWORTHY GAMES FOR YOUR SYSTEM ARE SOME KIND OF SHOOTER.

It's okay when you admit you have an inferior control scheme and you don't mind because you don't have a competitive nature. You're gaming cancer if you try to act pro and deny these claims, or dodge the issue and talk about how you'd stomp me if I came down to your level (buddy, you should thank whoever you pray to that I'm not willing to pay for something I'd only use to prove you wrong, because I HAVE played my friends', and I would wreck you).

However, the worst part about the 360 is the community, by far. Now, some of you are okay. Some of you have valid reasons for not building a PC (something other than ignorance about the price tag), or you like the exclusives, or you play mostly games that are better on controllers, or you have decent friends that play for good reasons and you don't really have a preference yourself. Congratulations, you are the island in an ocean of liquid shit.

So no, I do not appreciate games getting a "wider audience," just like a gated community wouldn't appreciate the city tearing down the gates and inviting homeless and gangs to set up in there. You think I'm elitist? Of course I am, that's not an insult to me. To imply it would be something I'd be ashamed of would be to suggest that I WANT to be friends with scum like that. Sorry, but I'm neither a communist nor a saint. All men may be created equal, but that clearly does not apply after day 1.

So no, I don't give a damn about Final Fantasy fanboys, I think Sony is stupid as hell, I only own a PS3 to be able to play PS3/360 exclusives without having to buy a 360, and because I already own a PSP to play SNES and PS1 games (it's NOT illegal to pirate games you own, it's only against the ToS). I got a Wii because I was expecting there to be some decent games and because it's actually a system that focuses ON THE GAMES instead of all this multimedia crap (I'd buy a Blu-Ray player if I wasn't satisfied with movies in SD, which I am, christ you people put way too much emphasis on technicals). That was a disappointment but at least some good stuff comes out every couple months. And naturally I own a PC because it is the best for everything. Mods, multiplayer, controls, graphics (if I cared), they even have, OMG, USB CONTROLLERS IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THAT WAY! And believe it or not with the money I save taking advantage of Steam deals I can actually afford a $400 UPGRADE every 3-4 years. Yeah... it's not $1000 like the loyal pack would have you believe if you already own a working PC, which all of you should unless you're ALL posting on macs.

So no, I don't think most of these guys are Sony fanboys, I think we all just agree that we hate you.

P.S. Flame away, your tears of rage are like tasty cupcakes to me.

I found this pretty funny. Personally, I'm a fan of the PS3. But, I would not boo this giveaway.

Oh, well. Final Fantasy started out with Nintendo. Now, the current final fantasy's in the series are coming out for the Microsoft and Sony consoles. What do Nintendo lovers think of this game, then?

I couldn't be arsed to read through 13 pages of comments, but I assume most of them booed because they're retarded, and some of them were possibly booing as they've had bad Xbox experiences? I'm on Xbox 4 now, and bought FF13 on the PS3 as I knew it would actually work. My Xbox now plays 9 out of my 20 games without freezing. Flummoxed I is.

I boo whenever someone plays a Final Fantasy game on anything but an NES. Fuck those fanboys, we are the hardcore. (In reality I've not like a FF game since FF8 and that was on the Playstation.)

Yeah, any real FF fanboy knows that FF started on Nintendo, old news. Honestly, 90% of you would never of heard of FF if it hadn't been for PS. Yes, I know SNES, but it was FFVII is what put FF on the map in the US. FFVI was better, in all respects but FF would not be where it is in the US had it not been for Sony.

This is not even close to this hypothetical. FF was originally a nintendo franchise that moved to the PSX because nintendo refused to move on to CD-ROMs as their primary form of Media. Square Enix realized that attaching themselves to the PS3 alone when the two consoles have pretty much divided the market in half was stupid. What did Sony ever do for them, really. They did not contribute to development costs (a la Mass Effect and KOTOR). They were not under some sort of contract. Square-Enix was under no obligation to justify their fan-boy's purchase of the PS3 when it was never annouonced as an exclusive. It was just assumed.

This whole console wars thing is getting really freaking old.
Damn straight!! And damn ninjas! FF has been a multi-platform'd franchise for donkey's years, and FFXIII is n no way the first multi-platform release. Stupid "exclusivity."

Really not suprised at this, given that A) the Xbox 360 version has MAJOR graphics issues compared to the PS3, and B) some Xbox Retards actually believe FF13 is a 360 exclusive, I shit you not.

Okay, you have the chance to get an XBox 360 with Final Fantasy 13... and you boo? Who cares that the game has been poorly ported... it's a free, freakin' 360! I'm not a fan of the system, but I'm not going to say, 'I'm too much of a fanboy to take your free console.'

And then to boo the logo?! The 'Tard-Nation crosses all borders, I guess :(

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

JRPG fans crack me up. I don't care if they're complaining about the console or the games 'linearity'. Still looks like pants to me. At least they actually went for a female main character for a change, as opposed to a guy who looks like a woman.

Maybe I'm just cynical but the Final Fantasy worlds always seem to be rather childishly imaginative - masses of complexity but no refinement. The whole lets shove a rocket pack on it mentality. Sure there are themes about loss and love and so on, but then it does have a film's worth (plus) of fmv, you'd expect a little bit of coherence.
