Final Fantasy Versus XIII Could Come to Xbox 360, Too

Oh I got the game on 360. It's just that the PS3 version is supose to be an improvement like the PC version. I know the game have its flaws but it is my second favourite RPG of this gen. First is FFXIII.

Saying FF13 is your favorite RPG if this gen is like saying you like getting punched in the face rather than shot in it since almost every RPG of this gen. has sucked. But FF13.. really? Not Enchanted arms.. Cross Edge..Resonance of Fate.. Disgaea 3 Or a bloody Pokemon game on the DS? Ya know.. the RPG games that actually have parts that resemble RPGs and not 40hrs of cut scenes occasionally interrupted by hallways. But I'm getting away from the point of the thread.

I'm honestly scared of this. I solely blame FF13 being the huge turd that it is on them trying to appeal to the 360 crowd (Boring game play and shiny colors). I don't know much about Versus since it's still pretty far off on the horizon, but if they decided to do a 360 release, I smell changes, and not good changes. Honestly being an ex-FF Fangirl, I couldn't care less if it has a multi-platform release if the game is actually good but if they start tweaking it to appeal to a group other than their core... well you try to please everyone and just give a abysmal experience over all.

I do know this much, I'm not rushing out to buy it like I did 12 and 13 only to have my soul crushed. I'll just play X-2 again, at least that one still played like an FF game should.

FF13 is to RPGs as FO3 and ME2 are to RPGs....

I take offense to you assuming that everyone that plays 360 is a moron that only likes shiny colors above all else. I could assume all Ps3 fans are obsessive fanboys that hate anything if it isn't Sony, but I wouldn't be right.

I see no reason why 360 owners can't enjoy Final Fantasy. I'm a FF fan and own a Ps2 and a 360. From what I've seen the gameplay has been like that even before they announced it was going multiplatform.

Whoa ouch, I'm not going not to argue about how FFXIII is or is not a RPG because I know there's an whole thread about it before. Nor I'm going to argue whether FFXIII is a good game or not because the sell numbers speak for themselves (and you know opinion are kinda... subjective). What I am gonna say is that I enjoyed FFXIII and it is one of my favourite game of this Gen.

You know what's the funny thing is? I have played nearly ALL the RPG (or JRPG) of this Gen and I still don't feel that radically different when playing FFXIII. Sure the face are different but the core of it are the same when compare with other FF.

bought FF 13 on PS3 anyways and doing the same here so I don't really care, let em have it, but I'd rather not wait for Xbox version to finish before Ps3 gets it

You're probably going to label me as a fanboy now. I don't give two shits because I own both a 360 and a PS3. It makes no difference to me whether or not a game is exclusive to one or the other. It pisses me off that another game will have to be reduced in graphical quality to work on a less technologically advanced console, and it means that it gets delayed for a needless reason. I bought it and I never said it was crap, it was actually a very good game with an excessively slow start. It's still my 3rd favorite RPG of this generation, after Fallout 3 and Resonance of Fate. Most of the people I know also liked it, even if they did consider it a step backwards from the previous games.

There was a time when I'd buy a Final Fantasy game simply because it had the words Final Fantasy on the cover. If there's something good I can say about XIII, it is that is has taught me to be a little more cautious with my purchases.

PS. Actually, I didn't hate it that much. The story was pretty cool, I thought. Some of the characters were interesting (Lightning most certainly was not just a female version of Cloud, as I see a lot of other people attest to). The graphics were good, but in a FF game, that should be a given. The music was... passable. The combat was, um, okay to watch, I guess. Not much else. The game was okay, but a mere shadow of other installments in the series.

FFXIII was the only reason I bought a PS3... but it also gave me Uncharted, Littlebigplanet, Heavy Rain, and God of War, so I'm not bothered.

What exactly is Final Fantasy Versus XIII anyway? I have heard about it before but I have not heard about the plot of the game or when it takes place.

Hopefully, it will come to the x-box 360. Square Enix is a good company and I think everyone should be able to play their games, not just ones with a specific console or PC.

Wow, someone is full of bile. I wouldn't blame FFXIIIs failings on appealing to the 360 "crowd". Believe it or not individuals are not defined by their gaming platform. There is not a typical 360, PC, Wii or PS3 gamer. Thats why there are varied games available on each platform and why multiplatform releases don't universally fail.

Me personally? I play PC and 360. I went for the 360 over the PS3 because when I bought it the PS3 was over priced, its come down since then. Previously Ive owned PS2, game cube, Dream cast, PSX, SNES, Genesis, NES, atari 2600, Amiga, Amstrad... I play games, that doesn't mean I have some allegiance to particular developers or companies.

You could argue Sqeenix over extended by developing multiplatform and the game suffered because of that. You could argue that trying to fit it on a none blu ray machine hurt the game too. Saying appealing to the 360 audience hurt FFXIII is laughable.

Now saying Sqeenix were too concentrated on pretentious wankery and forgot that the game was meant to be fun and involving... I think thats closer to the truth.
