First Halo Reach Vidoc

It seems the first Reach video documentary was released.

In the video we see some gameplay, some customizable spartans, the stealth kills in action, an epic beard, and some new weapons. It also looks like you can now sprint.

Looks great, and I can't wait for the beta.

So, what are your thoughts on the video? What are you hoping for?

EDIT: For those who don't know, the Halo Reach beta starts on May 3rd. So mark your calendars and be prepared to have your spartan body defiled in multiplayer.

Bungie has also released some details on the video and other things, including some special rewards for those who help give Halo 2 its deserved send off on April 14th, on their site.

I was looking forward to this somewhat...then saw the Spartan with the skull on his mask. Reminded me of "Ghost" from MW2. God, I hated that idiot.

I'll rent it, but that's all Bungie's getting out of me.

Looks great. I love how they are approaching this project, Bungie is such an awesome developer. I have no doubt that they will impress me. This seems fantastic. I am not sure about it being a sandbox game, but I feel like Bungie is making a great step.

I want the game to be more and more team based as well as have more story. Which seems like they are doing. I love fighting the elites, and I hope they capture making them a better foe. Not to mention the fights look better and better, and bigger! The Spartans look cool, and the graphics seem to have taken a major reboot. I can't wait!!!

the weapons look good, and cant waite to use them, but reach looks more technical then the others...if only the other halo games could get updates...hmmm

This could well be the best Halo game in a while now (i.e. better than ODST, which isn't that hard). I'm really liking the new improved graphics, as well as the new sandbox approach to the game. Plus, I think that fighting elites will be way better than those gay-as brutes in Halo 3.

I'm looking foward to fighting Elites again. I remember on Legendary in Halo 1 and 2 you'd see one Elite and have to think about taking him down, yet in 3 and ODST you'd take out groups at a time with nary a thought.

Talking about giving it a more "human element" makes me worry though. Bungie isn't exactly known for creating in-depth and three dimensional characters, so unless they've gotten a lot better or hired a new writer the characters will probably be cringe-worthy.
