Oh em gee, Skyrim, why you so sexy and stuff and stuff? These environments are such a geeky turn on I can't even.

Is it the end of the year yet?

I second that sentiment.

That video was boner-rific.

I am pumped for this game. I absolutely loved Oblivion, and this looks to be no exception.

and it's freakin' awesome.
That would be the way to put it, wouldn't it.
I actually really like what they've kept the same, and love the things they've improved. As of yet, my faith in Bethesda to give me a damn awesome game seems well placed.

I suggest we all wait to see how stable/unstable the game engine is before we get too excited.
I suggest we accept that the game engine WILL be horribly unstable and remain excited regardless.
The game does indeed look exciting and I am very much excited about this game, but no amount of shiny graphics and sweet looking gameplay could dampen the fact that Bethesda cant write stable code to save their lives.

Needs more magic.

I know I won't be stabbing a dragon with a sword.
You missed the bit where he splurged fire across a room and set fire to everyone in one go?
OT: I loved Morrowind and quite liked Oblivion (even the combat could be quite interesting if you paid some attention to the things you could do. Mixing things up with a one-hander sword and magic was interesting fun.)
This looks awesome. I'm trying not to get too riled up in case I get dissappointed again like I did with Fable 3 *curse you Peter Molyneux*... or Spore... or Wrath of the Lich King... etc

Really liked it. But is it bad that the game actually got me even more excited to see the next fallout running on that engine? Still, bring on 11/11/11!

Hmmmm, I'm curious to see how stealth-based characters will be able to take a dragon head on.

Well, it looks promising..And I do love me some dragons, but given the snow environment it's going to be constantly reminding me of (and therefore being compared to) the bloodmoon expansion for morrowind, which is probably an unbeatable rival. I dunno how much I'll enjoy it, though I suppose I'll probably pick it up on release.

use the bow and arrow, bow's really amped up now.
That so? Well, now I don't have to worry about that and can focus on stealing everybody's lettuce again without having to worry about dragons eating me.

Anyway, Bethseda actually created a whole language for the game. All the singing in the trailers we've seen is in that language. Supposedly it was a big task because they wanted to make sure it was consistent. All the Shouts will all be in Dragon as well, and they actually translate to something relative to what they do.

For example a shout to blast back your enemy roughly translates to "Divine Wind of something"
Won't it be Nordic? There are quite a few languages in Tamriel (and Mundus in general, but I don't think they've given us anything from non Tamrielic ones). If it sounds Latin-esque it's probably Aylied.
This ( http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2011/01/20/skyrim-s-dragon-shouts.aspx?PostPageIndex=2 ) is the best article I could find on it, but Howard actually talks about it in several video interviews and GI did an interview with the sound director and he discussed it too. It's different from Nordic and it's definitely not Aylied. This is the language the Nords use for Thu'um, but it's a separate language.

It's not really related to latin either. At least from I've seen it isn't. I think people are confusing it for latin simply because 9 times out of 10 when you hear that kind of singing it's Latin. Or gibberish.

Actually sounds more Scandinavian to me, which I suppose is appropriate.

This is probably me being stupid, but when I saw the snow and the voice came on, I instantly thought of LoTR:TT trailer, with Gandalf narrating.

I take it the yell at 1:08 was supposed to be one of the fabled Dragon Shouts?

I was hoping for something a little more like this.

Oh well, at least it's still cool.
DROP A DEUCE!

Firstly, this Skyrim trailer looks epic. Great to hear a bunch of Nords singing the Morrowind opening theme too. I don't remember much about the Oblivion soundtrack, but the composer outdid himself with Morrowind. So many memorable and hauntingly epic scores.
The graphics looks great (obviously top spec PC), will have to wait to see how the PS3 looks (likely and sadly a bit worse than Xbox 360 version). Looking forward to this. That dragon shout was brutal too.

Secondly, this Highlander vid is fu**ing EPIC hahahahahahahaha. Didn;t even know they made a Highlander anime.

WOOOOOAAAOOO-AAAOOOAHH-oo-OOAAOOAOAAAHAH :D
